“Groupon deal and stay at Kokonut suites in Bali -fantastic value and service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2012

Not only was the value fantastic in the 7 day deal the hotel staff were friendly and gave great service. In particular I was very impressed with their presentation to me of a cake with lit candles on my birthday. When I asked the staff how they knew they said they saw from the photocopy of my passport that I was having a birthday while staying in the hotel. I felt special and touched by the gesture.
I highly recommend the Kokonut suites hotel.

This is my 3rd time stay at Kokonut Suite and I keep coming back there :)
The hotel at Petitenget Street, the heart of Seminyak yet not so close from the center of the crowd so it's a nice place to have a quality sleep after a tired day exploring Bali. The hotel also provide a free shuttle for around Seminyak but we have to make a reservation a day before.
The rooms are huge and have good view(s), paddy field, pool or a beautiful garden. Each room are equipped with a large couch, dining table and simple kitchen set.
The hotel staffs are so helpful and friendly, the breakfast have a great and unique taste, with different menu every day...thumbs up for the chef :)
The spa is worth trying, but unfortunately they only have limited rooms for spa (and usually full booked) so I didn't have the chance to try on my last visit.
It's always be a great stay here...you should try!

Room Tip: All rooms are equally great, but they don't provide elevator...yet it's only 3 floors :)

Great one bedroom apartment, very modern, new, clean and spacious. The staff are super helpful, friendly and happy to assist with even the smallest enquiry. We arrived at 12am, and the front desk and porter were fantastic, they took care of everything.

The king size bed is really comfy, the couch is huge and an LCD TV with cable helps the hangover days...

Highly recommend a few nights here, its only 5 minutes away (just $1) from Seminyak's restaurants, bars and beach.

Room Tip: Go for the one bedroom suite, the villas aren't very private with most balconies looking straigh...

Rooms are big for what you're paying, especially if you have a 2 bedroom suite.
The staff are lovely and very helpful, they go out of their way to help you out of kindness.

Some aspects are a bit shabby, but if you're on a budget and want somewhere that's nice, quiet, cheap, near good food and has a nice spa service (not hot tub, spa as in massage parlour with other stuff available) it's fantastic.

One thing I don't like is the lack of elevator! But if that's a problem for you then ask for a ground floor, it just means you get a backyard instead of balcony.

This was the third hotel of our two week stay in Bali. The staff were wonderful, couldn't do enough for you- extremely courteous, would stop whatever they were doing to greet you with a hello and a beautiful Balinese smile. The hotel itself was lovely- clean, simple rooms with everything you needed. Note: Stairs only to the upper floors. The pool area is very pleasant and tranquil- there is a book swap which i thought was a nice touch, pool towels on hand, very nice seating areas, sun loungers- plenty of shady areas. We didn't use the spa, as there was no availability for the times we wanted. There are a couple of massage places just outside the hotel which were great and very cheap. We ate breakfast in the restaurant every morning, best bacon I've ever tasted!
On arrival I admit we were a little disappointed with the location. The hotel was advertised as being in Seminyak- it is in fact in Kerobokan, approximately 3kms inland from Seminyak. We felt this was misleading, HOWEVER... on a visit to Seminyak, we were relieved to be staying further away from the noise, the crowds and general hustle and bustle.
Kokonut Suites has a couple of fabulous restaurants within walking distance- but be careful, the footpaths in the area are not good/ non existent and the road is quite busy- especially at night. There are plenty of taxi's around, probably a safer option if you have small children in your party.

Great service and pretty good location - it's far enough from the hustle and bustle of Kuta/Seminyak to afford you some peace when you just want to relax in the hotel, and near enough to Kuta/Seminyak via a taxi ride.

Stayed for 5D4N, the suite comes furnished with a kitchenette, a medium size refrigerator - great for storing all the large Bintang and Bali Hai beers, we manage to stuff 12 large bottles of beers with left over space for breakfast stuffs.

The furnishings in the room are rather old, there are holes on 2 out of 4 of the dinning chairs - not that it matters much as we spend most of our meal time at the balcony or in front of the flat screen tv. The suite we had was facing the paddy fields and it's pretty breezy, however during our stay there, there was some construction going on next door but surprisingly it wasn't too noisy.

We cooked a few of our meals when we're too lazy to venture out - there are some great restaurants around kokonut suites - Metis was right beside and Sardine is just a minute walk away. I wouldn't quite recommend having dinner in their restaurant (Suka Suka) - we had a voucher for a set dinner and the chicken turned out rubbery and the fish had that old refrigerated smell and overcooked. Breakfast buffet however was decent as they do rotate the menu daily - sausages, bacon, eggs made to order are standard fare, with variations to their local menu.

We planned to spend most of our time in the suite, so we decided to bring along our hard drive and media player - the tv has 2 hdmi socket, which is great for viewing the HD movies on our hard drive. However, there's only 1 electrical outlet near the tv - so if you wish to plug in your ps3/media player/dvd player/laptop or what not, you'll need to bring your mult-plug adapter (they do provide adapters upon request but the 3 nights we were there they ran out of adapters). I would suggest to the management to provide at least one adapter in the suites, as the number of power outlets in the bedroom are also very limited - I had to take turns with my wife to charge our phones.

Overall, the services are excellent, the room is spacious and great (if you overlook some old furnitures). Would definately return - great value for the size of the rooms.

Room Tip: Pick a room on the 2nd floor facing the paddy fields if you want some quiet and privacy.

Booked for 3 nights on Expedia.com and did not regret my choice!
I travelled with my family and booked 2 bedroom suites, the room is humongous, quiet, and very comfortable. They need to touch up a bit here and there (Painting, wall discoloration, etc) but the service make up for it.
All the staffs are helpful, always smiling and courteous.
I would love to stay there again!!

Room Tip: choose a room facing the swiming pool!!
