“Pure Delight”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2014 via mobile

Great ambience on entry and staff accommodating. Get there early we did not book but outside tables were plenty and suited us. Arrived 6pm open 6.30 so invited to bar. Starters duck sausage and egg plant and filled naan bread. Try the shri Lankan curry superb with butter chicken flavours authentic and with steamed rice. No room for desserts. Thank you - I will return and recommend to others.

“You eat with your eyes”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2014

We finally got a reservation at Sarong! (went to Mama San previous trip, which was great). The best way to describe the differences is setting Industrial/modern/warehouse to elegant/tropical/pavilion styles. When it comes to the food, for me I found the menu more Indian inspired. The taste of the food we tasted however, had the flavour barometer increase to 11 (out of 10, MamSan about 8)! The food was really favoursome (& spicy) our favourites where the Smoked Beef salad, Duck sausage salad and Black Bean crusted Barramundi.

“Indian resturant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2014 via mobile

We were greeted well as we stepped out of our cab
Booked on line which was in there book on arrival.
Has an amazing cocktail list which we tried and enjoyed.
Service is good and food comes out quick...
The ambience is very romantic with extravagant surroundings..
Food was very tasty ..
One dish however was the prawn and curry broth which was very tasty but as we were sharing the dish had 2 prawns and very little clam meat.. However management brought another different prawn dish free of charge and also gave a free dessert ...we didn't really over complain but they wanted to make sure we left very satisfied.
Which we were and we will come back..

“Overrated Food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2014

One word for this restaurant is "overrated".

Yes some dishes are nice but I'm not a big fan of the curry dishes, so do my family. We ordered quite a lot and ended up not finishing the foods. Knowing that it's very very expensive, we asked for a takeaway of the leftovers. However, we didn't even have the urge to touch food.

I hope the next time I visit this place, if there is any, they would serve me with better foods that live up to the price.....
