Owner description: The former royal palace of Tirtagangga (which means water of the Ganges, Hinduism's holy river) features tiered fountains, gardens, and stone sculptures of mythical creatures spouting water into bathing pools. Just outside the palace grounds, the views of the lush rice paddies of northeastern Bali are stunning.

“Beautiful and peaceful ...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2013

What a lovely discovery! We have been to Bali many times, but had never visited the Water Palace. We really enjoyed the complex of pools and fountains set in beautiful tropical gardens - a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of Seminyak.

“Interesting but a little over rated”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2013

this is the 4th most visited site in Indonesia but while it was interesting we found it a little over-rated compared to some other magnificent places in Bali

“Lovely little place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2013

Good place to spend afternoon, especially if hot! Small fee to enter but very beautiful and there is a pool where locals and tourists can enjoy at the back. Restaurants/cafes in front too, although I did not go in any of them. Scooter ride from Amed had some beautiful scenery too :)

“Stunning and holy place in the East Bali”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2013

We've been to this beautiful place many times.
You will find Holy spring water (tirta) everywhere. Enjoy feeding huge fishes with bread or crackers in this crystal clear water. Magic giant Banyan tree standing tall above Tirta Gangga. Make a wish while walking thru those water steps in the middle of pond and they will come true someday.
Have fun there! :)
