“Don't miss the stainless steel pool and hottub!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2012

We booked this hotel en route home, and were nervous as we approached wondering what type of neighborhood it would turn out to be. Towson is a wonderful town! Love that once we parked in the attached parking garage, we didn't have to drive anywhere to eat, shop, etc. The hotel is attached to the Towson Town Center mall via skywalk. The indoor pool and hottub are stainless steel, very cool! Breakfast at Rain was delish, front staff supremely accomodating. Plus, didn't hear a lick of noise all night.

We took a group of parents and dancers to a competition in Baltimore, MD and made reservations at the Sheraton Baltimore North Hotel. When I arrived at the hotel, I was pleasantly greeted by a member of the front desk. Check in only took a matter of moments and we were on our way to our rooms. Although I had booked adjoining rooms, being across the hallway was fine. The bed was very comfortable and everything was clean and neat. My only concern was that it was difficult to close and open the curtains as they were located behind the chairs. I read some of the other reviews; however, I had no issues with noise at all and I understand that the hotel was completely sold out on Friday night. It was nice that the mall and wonderful restaurants were right across the street. (Highly recommend the Stoney River Legendary Steaks. MAGNIFICENT!) Went to Rain for breakfast. I ordered from the menu. Although the service was wonderful, it took a long time for us to get our food, but I would stay here again.

Stayed with my daughter on a Sunday night and had no issues. Maybe it wasn't crowded, because we had no issues with noise. The room was fine - clean and plenty of room. Breakfast buffet was typical hotel breakfast buffet - nothing to write home about. The wait staff at breakfast were cheerful and friendly and made up for the lackluster food.

Recently stayed at this hotel on the club floor level. The noise was incredible ...felt like I was in the French Quarter during Mardi Gras. All night... laughing shouting, doors banging..difficult to sleep.
The walls have no sound insulation and I could hear a bawdy group with much xrated conversation in the next room early the next morning...unbelievable...checked out early...and told front desk about it.
It's too bad because the room and bed were comfortable.
Another point, as a woman traveling on business , I fully expected to have a valet avilable to help with bags at check in...Zero!
Had to find a spot in a large parking garage and handle everything myself.
Will have to find another hotel for next trip.

Room Tip: Do not stay on a weekend..do not get a room that has adjoining door. Ask for a floor that does not h...

Noise is a major flaw in this hotel. Booked through Hotwire & specially drove out of the way because of the name. Had a late night out but at 9am on Sunday was jostled out of the bed.Could hear every piece of conversation from some room. Called the front desk to see if something was wrong with the room and was told a manager would be on the floor. The noise did not stop till the people wherever they were left. Old hotel & should not deserve 3 stars. Rude lady @ front desk @ night. The daytime person was very helpful. Hole in the closet door. Don't stay on the 5th floor!!!!

Room Tip: Hilton,Pikesville is 15 mins drive, rough neighborhood but has better rooms, service but is more expen...

The location was perfect for a visit to Goucher college. It's also literally across from the mall (there is a skywalk from the 2nd floor). The rooms were clean and the bed was quite comfortable. The basic amenities were provided and we were given an upgrade to a club room which gave us access to additional amenities. * This is a "pet friendly" hotel (no extra charge).

The hotel is perfectly situated to host conferences. In addition to the hotel conference rooms which were comfortable, the hotel is located across the street from a large mall that had a great variety of stores. Also, there is a large food court in the mall if your trying to stick to a budget. For those not on a budget, there are several restaurants within the mall. You can walk from the hotel to the mall via a skywalk. No shuttle to the mall or quick car ride. Also, across the street is a grocery store. I had a very nice room with large windows. The bed was very comfortable. The staff I spoke with were friendly, polite and accomodating. The room I was assigned was very clean aside from two sitting chairs that appeared to either need some cleaning or replacing. I had three meals at the restaurant. The food was very good. However, I/we had to wait a little too long for the food to be served (both breakfast and dinner). I took advantage of their green program and was able to get a $5 coupon each day towards food services. That cut my expenses...in these days every little bit helps. I asked for a floor with no pets but a dog ended up being on the floor on the last night of my stay. He only barked a few times so it really wasn't a problem. All in all, I think it's a great conference hotel. Would defintely recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: They accept pets so if you don't want to be near a pet, ask for a floor that does not have pets.
