Have had great meals here in the past...so despite recent reviews I took a group of 9 first time travellers to Amed and Sails for dinner. We had booked in the morning and arrived to find we were the only guests for dinner...not surprising considering the torrential rain over 2 days and we nearly didn't make it through the causeway with the car as it was flowing fast with heaps of water!! We got drenched just from the carpark to the restaurant even with the umbrellas and the floor was being mopped constantly!! So, in true Bali spirit we laughed it off and ordered our meals. There were surprised guests who raved about their grilled marlin and the pork ribs where he meat just fell off the bone and tasted fantastic. The beans cooked in garlic were raved about around the table and as the rain stopped and the fullmoon peaked out from under the heavy clouds, all went for their cameras! The view of the long line of moonlight on the ocean horizon was enough for all to forget how wet we were... The staff were friendly and then dessert was popular with Banana Christmas being the favourite. We were not disappointed at all, so will be back with the next group!!
