“Hammock Day at Marari Beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2013

Clean Air. Fresh Coconut palms. Sleepers Paradise. Thanks a ton to the travel experts of Country Travel Mart for arranging and designing my tour. Memorable stay in hammock at Marari Beach and I enjoyed everything - travel, hotel and food.

“Kerala tour 2012”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2013

Probably the best beach on this part of the Indian Arabian sea coastline. Soft sand and warm waters stretching uninterrupted for miles. Downside is that certain sections that do not belong to hotels are used as toilets by the local fishermen so be careful where you walk, Mostly it is the top of the beach near the treeline, the middle and lower section of the sands are mostly poo free.

“Long open beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2013

This beach is usually reached by tuk-tuk and its quite an expensive ride as the driver normally waits for you.

We turned right and took a very long walk past all the fishing boats and watched the fishermen mending their nets, fishing with nets just offshore (no boats were out at sea) and this was rather fun.

The waves were huge, breaking very close to the shore and it sounded like thunder!
Lovely to watch.

There are no cafes or shacks so you need to take you own water.

A clean beach except for the odd "pile" left by the fishermen who seem to love squatting (toilet) close to the high tide mark!

“The rareing LOCATION”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2013

The eye stretching length of
Beautiful,Sandy,Pearlywhite,Serene,Tusslefree,Smooth,Wavy BEACH !
That's Maarari !!!
No rush and pomp.Very naturally simple ample place.Comparitively VERY Clean.
Without proper transport slightly difficult to reach.
Carry your own drinks and food as otherwise ,Stranded and hungry and driedout.
A simple humble Coastal Village only arround except a few starrated Hotels and resorts !!! and of course a few rows of Tingling Tangling young Coconut trees.
All said and done a BEAUTIFUL B E A C H still fully fresh to be tapped.
