A beautiful place to take in the amazing Backwater scenery, do yoga, have a massage and go boating. The service and architecture of the hotel were also splendid, and the rooms held a very high standard. The price was high, but it was worth it.

Its fantastic Resort. Excellent Service, Everyone was so Kind and flexible. Its very good place for couples, family, friends and Solo. The flower Decoration of the bed was wonderfull. Very good food in the resturant. we felt that we are in different world.

Me and my boyfriend ended up booking the Punnamada Resort for our two last nights in India. Although it was way out of our budget, we loved the place and found it worth every Rupee we paid. Never have I been taken such good care of by the staff! They were all so smiling and helpful, made us feel right at home.

Our garden villa with its outside bathroom was lovely, well equipped, clean and with a super comfortable bed! We ended up spending most of our last days at the resort cos it had so much to offer. Complimentary sunset cruise every night, free use of paddleboat and bikes, yoga classes in the morning, and the clean and refreshing swimming pool! Awesome breakfast and delicious food from the restaurant. Really delicious!

And just to point out how the good the service was: while there i was a bit sick and in need of antibiotics so i went to the reception and asked for a doctor. The ayurvedic doctor on site helped me find out what kind of medicin i needed and ordered it for me. An hour later it was delivered to my door!

The resort was everything we could ask for and more, absolutely worth the money! :)

My husband and I didn't stay overnight at the resort; however, we spent one night in one of the Punnamada Resort's houseboats and it was the experience of a lifetime! The boat was beautiful and the service was great -- there was a dirty sheet on the cushion out in front of the boat where people can lay down and I asked the staff if they could replace it with a clean sheet and they did so promptly. The food on the boat was excellent and the service was great! The staff would often point out noteworthy things to us along the journey. Be sure to pull down the drapes in the common area as early as possible in evening to keep mosquitoes out. Also, be sure to keep the fan off during your evening meal; otherwise, mosquitoes caught in the fan will fall into the meal. We really wanted to do a smaller canoe ride through some of the smaller canals and Punnamada was kind enough to organize a one hour small canoe ride for us and another couple. It would have been nice to be on a private canoe, but regardless, the canoe ride was breathtaking, as was the whole experience. We know houseboats aren't the most environmentally friendly thing and are causing real problems in the region, so we are glad we only used it one day and resolved to try and be eco-friendly in other ways. It was one of the most relaxing and scenic experiences we have ever had.
