“Perfect for where it is.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

The rooms are comfortable, and the internet works. Excellent beds and a good location make this a great place to stay in Yiwu. Plus, the breakfast buffet is extraordinary!! From fresh sushi, to noodle soups to Indian food, this was a great assortment of well made food....really surpised me...would like to go back just for breakfast!

Thank God, that Marriott and maybe other brands is moving into town and it is about time.

This hotel is getting worst at all levels.

Very few people speak English, therefore all the services from check in to room service are a bunch of miscommunication problems.

The rooms are old, the furniture is used...windows dirty, no proper shower...and it is very expensive for what is offered.

I have tried the Chinese restaurant in the past and was good...room service just okay...kind of hard to order....interesting enough they bought the food, but forgot the cutlery and napkin. Charming!

The staff wears some type outfits, that are even hard to describe as a uniform.

Breakfast is just okay.

As I normally stay at the Best Western, but last time the pillow stank, I thought I would give another try to the Kingdom Hotel...but not really worth the money...

Next time, I will try another one...definitely not this one.

The in room air con was stuck on 27oC when it was 28oC outside. Complained to the hotel manager who stated they could not fix the air con because it was set for the whole floor. Then asked us if we like a fan. Out comes an industrial fan suitable for the factories outside of yiwu.

Breakfast - the best western hotel breakfast in yiwu but still with a lot to be desired.

Staff are often rude and unhelpful, even for the most basic of requests.

Gym is horrid and is not included in room rate. It is 78RMB per person. Equipment is out of 1985!!!

Average hotel.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2012

I come to Yiwu regularly for about 15 years on business and have stayed at nearly all the better hotels here. This is five star by my standards, impeccably clean, large rooms, over supplied with amenities - from shampoo, shavers to umbrellas and paper clips. About 5-6 English stations on TV. Many English speaking staff. Short hop to airport, free shuttle to the commodities exhibits. Many restaurants, bars, even McDonalds around the corner. Less than USD 100 per night, the price is very reasonable. Finally, they have fastest wired and wireless internet I have experienced in China - free of charge..

Room Tip: This is my first time here, I am staying in an executive room.

I have only experienced the public spaces of this hotel in a search for good food in Yiwu and it did not disappoint. For a Chinese hotel brand the dinner buffet is excellent. It caters to Western flavours and is staffed by many non-natives. I definitely recommend it to those craving high quality food when in Yiwu.

The restaurant decor is great, the lobby is quite grand and features an impressively large (I mean large) painting. If I am ever in Yiwu I would definitely give the Kingdom Hotel a try.

Clean, quite and relaxing, room is large and everything works. the surrounding area had a nice a relaxed atmosphere. typical of most new cities in china. The staff were polite, competent, honest and helpful to the extent of tracking us down to return a passport and the money that a friend of mine had accidentally left in his room safe when we check out
