“A tropical oasis admidst the jungle, improving every time...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2014

I have stayed at this hotel a few times now and have never failed to be impressed by the beautiful surroundings and the spotless service.
Sure, some of the rooms are a little dated, but the view, ambiance and general feeling of relaxation you have from the moment you arrive and are served the Lime and Ginger Juice welcome drink more than make up for that. We travel here regularly from the city of Phnom Penh for a relaxing weekend getaway with our young baby. It's perfect for our needs. A nice swimming pool, which often is beset by the travails of nature, (some bugs etc) but regularly cleaned, provides a nice relaxing space to enjoy the sun or rain. (It is usually doing one or the other.)
A delicious breakfast with great freshly baked bread, and don't miss the Saturday night Street Food Party - lovely traditional Khmer food stations set up in an all you can eat set up for a mere $12, including a fresh sugar cane juice cocktail! Delicious!

Great value for money in this beautiful green oasis. Our little one fell quite ill while we were there and the staff went out of their way to help and assist us in whatever way they could. Beautiful Caring staff , we just wish we could have stayed for longer.

Perfect location, friendly staff. Great Place to escape from the noise of the big cities. Situated in the middle of jungle, the hotel has had a consultant helping us for awhile and it really shows through the staff's professionalism.

After a very long car journey from Phnom Penh we arrived at the Spring Valley Resort - very green and beautiful with neat little paths running through the resort. Our check-in was ok, the guy at the check in desk wasn't very friendly but luckily over the next couple of nights of our stay, every encounter with staff was friendly and helpful. I would say that the best thing abut this place are the staff who are friendly, chatty, informative and helpful - they definitely made us feel very welcome and we had a great time over dinner with the staff explaining the local style food we ordered which was very yummy. The hotel restaurant was set in a sort of treehouse style hut raised above the ground for some refreshing alfresco style dining amidst the jungle. Breakfast was delicious - crepes and eggs are made fresh. Remember that this is a 3* hotel so things are quite basic - our room was clean but the pillows smelt a little of mildew, the bathroom could have done with some serious updating, the light would sometimes not work in the bathroom and it took an enormous amount of time fiddling around with the shower to get hot water and even then it was either scalding hot or freezing cold. I was also a little paranoid about the curtains not covering the windows completely so that people could look into our room while we were sleeping - although i'm sure this didn't happen! We had a view of the sea although this was barely visible, the tree line view made up for it. The hotel also arranged for our trip to Rabbit Island, we spent the whole day there relaxing and walking the trail around the island (although this takes a good few hours and not an obvious path towards the end - we had to walk in the sea around the island at one point with bees buzzing around our heads!). The hotel is a short walk away to a beach where you can also get a tuk tuk driver for $2 one way to take you to the crab restaurants. We saw some people walking along the coast to get there but we didn't fancy that in the pitch black! We only stayed two nights but wished it was longer. Kep is lovely, has a very nostalgic feel with the numerous abandoned houses dotted around the area.

This place is amazing and it's value is double the price.

From the moment you arrive you are treated like royalty.

The rooms are stunning and dotted around an amazing resort.

The pool area is perfect with a great pool and sun lounger area.

The restaurant/bar area is very chic and a great place to hang out.

On a Saturday they have stalls and serve different dishes at each - recommend this if you are there on a Saturday. It's help yourself to as much as you want as well as live cooking demos.

Breakfast is really good.

Location requires a torch at night but no biggy and is within walking distance of crab market and beach front.

Perfect location a short walk to town, fantastic staff, brilliant cusine and great value.
The rooms (we had a tower) are quirky, clean and well equipped. They have their own generator for when the towns power gives out, and it will
We came for one day and stayed for four. This is the accommodation you are looking for.

Centrally located and beautifully built & decorated garden-like paradise reminds me of a Moomin valley (finnish kids tale). Service is very good, food in restaurant too. Twice we experienced shortage of tap water in toilet late at night.
