“Excellent Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 19, 2013

Excellent location across from Kep beach. Clean rooms with aircon and TV. Water pressure is a bit disappointing so showering was a bit slow! Good restaurant with beautiful terrace, wonderful view and excellent food. I agree completely with the reviewer who said that the staff, who work in the restaurant, are "a little bit dreamy and disorganized, but friendly" it took the best part of an hour to get a cup of tea out of them this morning!!

Not to be confused with 'Brise De Kep Boutique' which is a seperate hotel in a different location. Some of the pics and reviews on TA seem to have it mixed up. The original Brise de Kep is located centrally, directly across from the main Kep beach, across from where the buses stop. This place is clean, with basic small rooms with aircon and tv for about $15 (Jan-13). Staff, who also run attached restaurant, are a little bit dreamy and disorganized, but friendly. Good basic option in good location, recommended.

It's perfect for those who are looking for an oasis.
Small and quiet bungalows right on the beach. It's around 50m from the main street, which is convenient for the bus drop.
The foods they served were quite good that I didn't need to go anywhere else, and the price was acceptable.
Staff are very friendly and helpful.
There is a small bar by the beach where you can laze yourself or, if you like, to get sunburn.
Wifi is working perfectly and fast within the area and in the room.
Nothing bad to say! Will definitely go back again.

We had a fine stay here, staff always greeted us with a smile, no problems.
The main point of this review is to avoid the travel place next door, it has a sign for Ha Tien-phu quoc travel. One day we booked our trip to rabbit island with them which went well so we then decided to book our onward bus ticket to Saigon. Huge mistake. After 2 months of traveling we are definitely used to buses being late or not the quality that was promised but this company purposefully deceived us about the trip. We were sold a ticket for 9 am to the border where we then would catch a VIP bus straight to Saigon. Instead we were told the bus in Vietnam was "delayed" and after checking out of our hotel were forced to wait until 1130 for our minibus (once they had found enough people to fill it) we were then transferred onto 2 seperate packed minibuses first to rach Gia and finally to Saigon. Instead just take a moto or tuk tuk to ha tien and catch a bus there. Would probably save you $ and time

Brise de Kep guest house is surprisingly well equipped for such an inexpensive place: the rooms are lovely and the balcony dining area is a relaxing place to watch the sea and the islands whilst eating.
Slight quibbles: the food is lovely but ordering can be a bit hit-and-miss; the staff are very friendly and willing but there are small indications [occasional wrong orders] that they perhaps need a little extra training. Certainly, they try hard. They are keen to please and ensure that this is one of the friendliest places you could ever stay.

Stayed only 1 night, Kep is not a must see. Location is perfect, helpful staff for food and transport, but the issues of towel, aircon, and warm water for shower made the stay less comfortable than it needed to be.

We stayed here for 2 days out of necessity not because we wanted to! The rooms were clean with wifi and TV and we had warm showers for $10 per night.
We got to Kep and discovered it was an expensive place and there were no ATMs and crap onward travel options. Thats where they got us! The lady at the reception said she could arrange our Vietnam visa for the next day for $50 each, we didnt have much option and agreed. The next day she said our visas would be ready as the person with our passports was in a 'meeting' all day. So we had to stay another night while we waited for him to arrive with our passports. In the meantime she quoted us some transport prices which, after shopping around, we realised were double the going rate. A tuk tuk to the border costs $15 max...NOT $30!!
Would bother with Bris De Kep or Kep (its a bit of a dead end town with no beaches or shops and what is there is a rip off!!).
