Now called Kampot Pie and Icecream Palace. We stayed here for about five nights and by the end of our time in Kampot I didn't want to leave and say goodbye. Mary or Li Hore, is the owner, a young Cambodian lady and runs the guest house and bakery with members of her family, to keep her whole family going. The location is great, right in the middle of town, nice and quiet at night, and a minute walk from the river and main strip. Our room was only six dollars a night, it had a nice double bed, fan, and tv, and a bathroom next door, plus a balcony on our floor. Downstairs there was a nice outside area to sit and relax and talk to Mary and her family, wifi was also fast. Mary and her family make delicious bakery goods, we had incredible banana cakes, brownies, curry chicken pies and many oat biscuits! They also make yummy, simple breakfasts, like omelette or eggs of toast and a good coffee. If your hungry at lunch or dinner, Mary has not started an official menu yet, but can whip you up a sandwich or something similar. On two nights Mary even taught me how to cook Sweet and Sour Fish and Pepper Squid, with a trip to the market and all. We dined many times with Mary and her whole family, which was lovely and just made it feel so homely and relaxing. Would go back in an instant.
