Who knew a treehouse could be so luxurious. The rooms were beautiful, the entire lodge was fantastic and wonderful service. I can't say enough about Treetops!

This place is the dream come true for a personal, romantic safari experience. The rooms are amazing and the views are awesome. Everything's perfect, all the details tastefully made and well thought about. See the moon setting from your bed, take a hot rainshower together with your loved one (there's 2 showerheads) and enjoy the great food and super friendly and incredible staff. I asked if they could put up some birthday decorations I had brought for my girlfriend to surprise her for breakfast next day. Not only did they do that but they also baked her cake with her name on it and the complete staff danced and sang for her. Wonderful!

Treetops lived up to our expectations having read other favourable reviews and looked at the website. The setting, a small number of luxurious and very private "tree houses" with panoramic views accross the bush is unlike anything else. The service was wonderful and friendly at all times. Not cheap, but worth every penny.
Not everyone will like the open plan bathroom/toilet although shouldn't be an issue.

Perched on a tree house built around baobab trees... subtle net meshes all around to keep out the bugs and yet retain the feeling of being open to the air and sunlight and the views. A most wonderful experience....an infinity plunge pool, excellent food and superb service in the midst of nowhere. A whistle attached to your room key is your room service call, and televisions and telephones are not provided really bringing you at one with nature's sounds and sights. Polished wooden floors, trendy open bathroom, a ceiling fan, safe, a study desk, a trapdoor entrance, a tree branch running through your room.....all contribute to the ambience of this wonderful treehouse experience.

We recommend Treetops to anyone looking for either a relaxing stay or for a wile adventure. For us, we went wanting a relaxing three days for our anniversary. We got that and much more. One day we stayed in our room on our porch overlooking the Rift Valley, went to the pool, and had smores around the fire at night. The next day we went on a hiking safari and a drive through the private park. We saw everything you would see on an all out safari. We couldn't believe it. On top of it all, the food was unbelievable. The best part of it all was probably the managers of the lodge. They were there for our every need and provided things we never even asked for. "Champagne in our room on our first night, candle-lit dinners on the pool deck." If you want to stay at a place that has it all together, please stay here. Hopefully we'll see you there.

The property sits on a private reserve so you are able to do guided walks and evening game drives. There is also the "sundown" hill for cocktails with a panaramic view of Tarangire. The staff do assist you on all levels. The rooms, up in the Baobob trees are lovely and by far one of the best showers! A great start to the Northern circuit of Tanzania.

What a place to start our safari adventure. We didn't know what to expect when we were told we would be sleeping in tents on treetops.

Roughing it? No way! It was a most exciting beginning to our 6-day safari adventure that would take us from the Tanangire, the Manyara Lakes, Ngorongoro Crater to finally end up in the Serengeti National Park, all of it planned and booked by Elewana Afrika. Not enough can be said about this organization. One of their offices is situated in Tanzania, which means they have first hand knowledge of the habits of the animals we want to see and therefore can give us realistic advice on the migration season, where to go and what to expect. They are the owners of several lodges and want to make certain you enjoy ever minute of your vacation . We would highly recommend them to plan your trips.

As an introduction to Treetop, we were welcomed by Masai people in front of the lodge followed by staff with hot towels and cool juices. We were then invited to go for a swim and relax while staff prepared our picnic for a sundowner, a game-drive which takes you to the top of a hill where, with a beautifully prepared lunch, a glass of wine or a cold beer, you get to watch the sun set and the star rise over the Tarangire Plains. On the way we saw several giraffes, impellas and other wild animals but our biggest thrill was to watch, from the top of the hill, the migration of cape-buffalos, who were being followed by a group of hyaenas. Naturally we drove down the hill and followed them for a while and that was how our safari vacation started!

Treetop has separate, somewhat isolated, one-room tents that are beautifully decorated, with fully equiped bathrooms and solar-heated hot water for your showers. Our tent, which stood on stilts, had a great balcony where you could sit at night and gaze at the zillion stars and listen to the sound of animals outside.

All the meals were well prepared with great choices. The homemade soups were my favorites as were the desserts, of course. We always seemed to eat too much which was a problem as it is not safe to go for a walk after your meal unless you are accompanied by a masai who carries a flaslhight and spear, just in case. When it's time to hit the sack, you are given a whistle to blow, should you need something in the middle of the night. The Masais watch the camp throughout the night to ensure everyones safety but still this tells you that you are in the wild and about to enjoy the real thing. Also it must be noted that from the dining tent/lodge and swimming pool, there is a watr hole where animals come for a drink on occasion. We saw some waterbucks the first night we were there.

Our guide was also exceptional. He seemed to know the best spots to see so many of the african animals. In fact we got to see a very large variety of them and in great numbers too. What surprised us too was his knowledge of birds and vegetation as well as everything there is to know about the habits of the various wildlife species which added to our knowledge and excitement about this vacation.
