“Beautiful placeto stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2013

After a difficult start to our safari due to long delays at Addis Ababa airport Maramboi was a fantastic place to stay. We should have been there for 2 nights but due to late arrival had to stay at Arusha. The staff from Maramboi kindly took our picnic lunch to the gate of Tarangire National Park so that we didn't lose any more time. When we actually arrived at Maramboi we were blown away. It is in a beautiful location close to the Lake Manyare and the animals migrate between the two parks so you can sit by the swimming pool and watch wildebeest, zebra, warthog, giraffe and more wander past. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The food is good and the staff welcoming. You can sit around a lovely campfire after dinner and look at the stars.
Our rooms were beautifully appointed. Our three children shared a room with virtually a double bed each! Only small gripe is lack of hot water - more tepid than anything.
We felt cheated that we didn't get our two nights here and would thoroughly recommend it. The best place we stayed in on safari

Warthogs by but thankfully not in pool. Wonderful place, not camping as would expect here, great rooms. You feel very safe with plenty of staff to guide you around in the dark with wildlife close by. Fairly close to Tarangire but drive very interesting and see game on the way as in a wildlife corridor connecting park to others. You could easily spend a few days here and watch animals come to you. Want to go back for longer and enjoy wonderful pool and campfire.

Room Tip: All look great

My mother and I stayed at Maramboi Tented Camp for two nights while we were visiting Tarangire National Park and we greatly enjoyed our stay there. The staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms were comfortable, the food was good and the property was beautiful.

The words "Tented Camp" is a bit of a misnomer since it can conjure up visions of crude or rudimentary accommodations. This location is anything BUT! The rooms were spacious and very comfortable--fluffy towels, firm mattress and pillows and hairdyer. The views from the rooms and common areas were stunning! The food was excellent and the staff was extremely helpful and courteous. Don't miss relaxing by the pool or star gazing after dinner!

Stayed here for one night during our safari. Staff were very friendly, professional and helpful. The food was delicious and also gave us an option to make our own packed lunch to take with us the next day unlike other places we stayed. There was wi-fi available all around the luxurious camp site and the beds were comfortable compared to other places we stayed during our safari. There were zebras outside our camps when we arrived and in the morning there was a herd of wildebeests near the breakfast lounge. No complaints at all and would love to go back.

We were least excited about this lodge due to it being 'tented', however we really loved this place! The accomodation is much more luxurious than we anticipated with hot running water and a high standard cosy interior which is certainly least bit 'tent' like. The animals roaming around freely really adds to the atmosphere and the service we received was excellent. If this lodge is a part of your safari then you will not be dissapointed.

Stayed here for 1 night during a safari.

Fantastic views of wildlife and lake manyara. Came back to our room after dinner to find zebras relaxing outside our front door.

Staff were welcoming and very professional. They created a superb atmosphere, very relaxed.

Lodge looked brilliant, great setting for dinner and breakfast. They were doing some work on the pool area at the time so may be looking to improve this.

Hard to fault this resort at all, even had guides to walk you back to your rooms for dinner / breakfast in case you are worried about wildlife. Would recommend and would love to go back
