“Convenient location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2012

This is a nice property that is convenient to the airport and highway so that you easily can get anywhere in Greensboro/High Point. Definitely book a higher floor so that you are away from the noise in the courtyard below. It's typical Embassy Suites in that it offers free breakfast and the managers' reception in the evenings. Just be forewarned that the reception is limited to 2 drinks and the breakfast is a little lighter than some other Embassy Suites. Overall, the hotel is nice and clean and the staff are extremely helpful and courteous.

Room Tip: Select a corner room on a higher floor to avoid the noise from below.

Another hotel lost my reservation so was a "walk in" and they found me a great room at a great rate.

we have always stopped in at the airport Embassy at Christime and spent 2-3 nights...We have our family over for the "evening reception" and we always let the bartender know ahead of time that there will be not just the two of us but 3 more adults and 4 gradchildren...We take care of the "Bartender " so our family can have a little get together...the kids love it and the family too. We keep 2 kids one night and 2 the next night and rest up the 3rd night for the rest of our vacation...Kids love the pool and we love teaching them to swim...Breakfast is a must...They eat a little of everything and go back for more...They actually think Grandpa and Grannie own the Big "E"...We love to laugh with them...they comment ..."That's where Grannie and Papa live" haha...Embassy has become our second home away from home...Staff are wonderful and very accomadating...

The rooms were very comfortable and quiet for the most part. The breakfast was probably the best I've seen with an omelette bar, sausage, bacon and pancakes made to order. The only real complaint I have was no WiFi. I can go to a cheaper hotel and the WiFi is free.

i really don't like to do things by making comparisons ,but here it is. over the past ten years or so vhen visiting in the greensboro area, we have stayed at the pti embassy. during our last visit to the area, we went to the embassy in w-salem...mistake. overall: staff not a friendly; food was disappointing and overpriced; and room seemed smaller.
just didn't compare positively to pti embassy.
during our next visit to the area, we'll be back to pti embassy.

Room Tip: can't beat pti embassy.

Where is the free Wifi? I'm a local resident and just stayed here for relaxing time
And would have really enjoyed some wifi in my room. $10.00 is a little excessive
Considering you can go to even cheap motels and get free wifi. It's a minor thing so I would still come back here because the rooms were very nice and clean.

A group of friends spent a long weekend in Greensboro for a weekend away. We chose the Embassy Suites. This was a solid choice -- typical ES dependability, close to the airport, and generally quiet location. Overall, we would return to the Embassy Suites. While there was nothing particularly memorable about the hotel it was a safe choice.

We stayed in a Corner Suite which was a nice layout and felt slightly more comfortable. It was also tucked away so the quiet of the hotel (located out in the suburbs) was enhanced further by being out of the way. The room was a typical ES room, though this one clearly had some water issues around the windows.

The staff were great, breakfast was consistently good, and the hotel facilities were all as one would expect.

The location works for the airport and being in a less hectic part of town. (Greensboro as a whole is not terribly hectic.) It is a drive back to the main parts of the city -- whether you are attending an event at the Coliseum, shopping, or whatever has brought you to the city.

A typical ES stay -- solid but not noteworthy.
