Nothing fancy at all but its a diner so what do you expect!Forget the other reviews from the stuck up people...Its a diner!!Very laid back and family friendly..The food is good and very cheap..Much better than a chain breakfast spot

“Great Southern Diner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 23, 2012

Jake's is a great place to grab a quick meal 24 hours a day. The prices are fair, the service is quick, and the food is wonderful. Breakfast is served all day, fluffy pancakes, crispy bacon, and for those who dare like myself...fabulous liver pudding! The broccoli casserole is also a must have on your veggie plate. And for those that just want a fast hotdog and fries, they have a drive-thru.

“Don't risk it”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed December 16, 2012

This was one of the worst diner experiences I've ever had, and over all of my 50+ years, I've been in a ton of them. I was a travelling musician for many years, and diner's were it for a starving singer. This place had food made of cardboard from a frozen dinner tray. Service was uncaring, too. Enough said.

“Good home cooked diner meal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2012

I ate here while in town on business. Grilled pork chops, broccoli casserole, black eyed peas, roll and a water. Dinner was well cooked and very tasty. Pork chops were a little thin, but were good. Hard to believe there are still places where you can go and have an enjoyable meal such as this for $8, plus tip. I'll be headed back to Jake's Diner sometime.

“a "Southern dive" - a quick, fun place to grab a bite”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

If you like quick, fast Southern-styled, hard-working diners --- and we do --- then this will be a fun place to grab a bite. They serve breakfast all day long... the menu is full of all types of cuisine. Not fine dining - but the food is hot, the prices are fair, the waitresses are sweet, and their coffee is always good - and if it's old, they'll brew you a fresh pot. How can you not appreciate that?

Oh yeah, Simon Cowell (X Factor) recently ate there (July 2012) - and our waitress told us that he was very nice and said that he liked their food (there's some local controversy over his getting grits or mashed potatoes - but regardless, he was a happy camper). That was a very cool thing for Jake's.
