“Great choices”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2012

This is a very popular restaurant. I had the barbq but my husband had a great steak. One of our party had salmon. It is convenient in Friendly shopping district.

“"Ole friend, it's been a long time!"”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2012

My husband and I used to frequent Harper's a lot when we lived in Greensboro. We made it our "date night" recently to go out to a movie and the age old question, "where do you go for dinner?" We definitely thought about one of our favorite places...Harper's! This restaurant never disappoints when it comes to the food and service. We had a brief 15-20 minute wait but after being seated we had great service along with a very enjoyable meal! Our waiter was very knowledgeable and helpful with the menu entrees for the evening. We ordered an apple martini and a Red Oak beer. Next we ordered the bow-tie, salmon, pasta dinner with bread that was quite delicious! A refreshing cup of coffee for dessert was our conclusion to a great night out! The restaurant noise and chatter are always the same but if you can rise above that and manage to enjoy your dinner, company and conversation without letting it interrupt, you have a winner in Harper's!

“The Worst”

If you don't like the smell and flavor of smoked food, stay away. Smokey flavor and smell in everything they offer. I'm eat in Mc Donald's before I eat there.

“Large portions, very good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2012

Had a business lunch with an old friend and neither of us could finish our meals. Fresh, served quickly with friendly service and great taste. It's in a shopping center at the Friendly Center. Worth a try! Will return.

“I'd go back”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2012

Excellent table service, though just a tad bit slow with the food. Nice atmosphere and the food was very good and appetizingly presented. The fresh lemonade was unexpectedly the best I've had in a long time. Trout 'special' a bit thin but very tasty, roasted vegetables awesome. Others enjoyed all they ordered though one said the salmon was overcooked. Wished I'd tried the BBQ... next time. I really appreciate a restaurant where the overhead lighting shines to the middle of the table and not onto any one person's head. Not too noisy and table size just right for 5 to have enough room and close enough for good conversation.
