“Convenient City Walk”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 13, 2011

I love Bog Garden for a quick and convenient walk in nature. It is well maintained and contains several geocaches too. Highly recommended if you need a short respite from city life in Greensboro.

“peace in the city”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2011

A small garden close to the Tanger bicentennial garden. Just one, or both, make for a pleasant stroll. They really give a sense of peace despite being surrounded by roads and houses.

“Dissapointing”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2011

We made the mistake of stopping in Greenaboro, just for this garden. We were on our way to Raleigh, so at least we didn't fo out of our way. Seems like the place has become over run with canadian geese. They seem to have scared all of the interesting birds away. The walk way is nice and well maintained. Jus not a lot to look at.

“A hidden gem ,especially for wheelchair users.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2011

I live in Greensboro and this is one of my favorite places to go. It has a boardwalk and sidewalk all the way around. This makes it accessible for wheelchair users and people who may have trouble walking. The Serenity falls area is not paved or has a board walk, although one can see it from a small bridge.

It is shaded during different parts of the day and has an abundance of birds, small mammals and wildflowers. There are signs to not feed the Canada geese, these are non- native waterfowl. I would suggest feeding the native waterfowl in the stream that leads to the small lake. You can also leave bread on the hand railings and squirrels and chipmunks will go and take the bread.

The Bog Garden is located across the corner from the Bicentennial Gardens, where there are nice bathrooms. These are heated in winter so it is a nice place to warm up. An individual can walk a mile + if you make a circuit around the Bog and Bicentennial gardens.

This is also a great place to take some great pictures of wildlife. There is a Great Blue Heron that is not afraid of people, unfortunately for him , which offers greet,a photo opportunities.

“Bog Gardens are full of life”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 15, 2006

The Bog Garden is a wonderful, shady walk through a beautiful wetland landscape. At any time of year there are so many flowers, birds, trees, and things to see. You feel like you're in another world as you walk over the wooden boardwalk. Highly recommended if you're into gardening, or bird watching, or just looking for a nice shady low-key activity.
