I have hearing good things about this place and I drove past it many many times. Yesterday, I decided to take my Mom and go to try it out. Our server was the best!! Very polite, nice, not overbearing, attentive. Basically, we had the best server one can get at a Restaurant.
I never had Egyptian food before. So, our server suggested we try The Mix Grill. You can share it with a small share charge. They bring you extra sides.
We had 4 Grilled meats. Chicken, Lamb cubes, Some sausage (I think called Kofata) and lamb ribs. You can choose any sides to go with it. We chose rice with raisin and nuts and grilled veggies.
They don't sell Alcohol, but the server told us some people bring their own bottles from home and they don't charge for it. So maybe next time will bring a fancy wine bottle.
Nevertheless, we had a rose petals tea, was amazingly good. It looks like wine, and is sweet but not too sweet. They have a flyer on the table for its benefits and I read among other things it lowers blood pressure and is a great detox.
We also had Rice Pudding for dessert. I had one with pistachio and Mom got one with cinnamon. I won't be lying if I said it was the best rice pudding I ever had in my life!
The owner came over and greeted us and asked us about the food and how we heard about it and what not. He was very nice and pleasant. He came again after we were done and we informed him every thing was excellent.
I'm definitely going to spread the word and tell everyone I know about this place..
