“a very neat place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2013

My wife and I went by on a sunday. Not crowded at all. Its a little small but had a lot of neat stuff to see and do. Nice animals and fish, plus other stuff to do in the hands on part of the center. Has a nice café that is ran by Fresh Foods.

“Little Bit of Everything”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2013

We started with the aquarium. The first exhibit was a swimming cat-looked much like our own domestic short hair but slightly larger. A large tank housed sharks and a variety of other fish. A penguin exhibit was fun-they have their own Facebook page.
A room with exhibits pertaining to the human body was fun and included a variety of interactive exhibits.
An outdoor zoo included farm animals, monkeys, and even two large tigers.
Indoor exhibits included reptiles, insects, minerals, fossils, and dinosaur skeletons.

“It will only get better...!”

I love that the Greensboro Science Center is planning ahead. It is growing and it will only get better. Right now between the Aquarium and the Zoo you have enough entertainment.

“WONDERFUL!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2013

This museum is a great way to spend a day whether you have young or older kids. It is like a combo zoo/museum/aquarium. The science exhibits include a "tornado alley" with simulated wind strength, and a dinosaur room. There are also large play structures, an indoor water play area, and an outside animal area including a petting zoo. My son loved the exhibit with snakes, reptiles, and bugs. The only possible drawback is the weather. Since some of the exhibits and animals are outdoors, you will have to bundle up if its cold or be prepared to sweat if its hot. I would recommend this place to a family with children of any ages. It was entertaining for me as well as the children. There is one large featured exhibit inside the museum for an extra cost but we didn't buy tickets to it. We spent about 4 hours here and the children never got bored. We only left because they were hungry. If you are coming from out of town and a member of your local museum, check to see if they are on the reciprocal list for free admission. Otherwise, price is $12.50 adults, $11.50 kids and it is well worth it.
