“Nice atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 26, 2012

It was NOT Great! It was overpriced, but I have enjoyed a good glass of Wine and a few dinnerselections that were good. Not Great!
Yes, I would go again, the staff is very nice. The food is often not enough to still one's hunger, and the selection of some seasonings is very strange in some of the dinners. It is just good to go for an evening with friends if you are not especially hungry.

“Great Food - Great Wine Selection”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2012

Josephine's Bistro offers great food, great service and a pretty good selection of wines. First, appetizers. Try the mussels which are nicely done. Order as an appetizer for the table of for your entree'. The other evening, I selected a blackened fish (bass) which was cooked to perfection and not overly spiced.

Thursday evening was also wine tasting night. I suspect that the local distributor supplying Josephine's comes in and offers a free tasting of 4 wines for a short time during the dinner meal. If you happen to like what you are tasting, you may purchase the wine at the restaurant price. I went home with a nice lightly oaked CA Chardonnay selection.

Co-workers dining with me enjoyed their meals immensely. Outdoor dining is available, but I usually prefer the comfort of air conditioning during the warm humid portions of the year.

Taking friends? You won't need a mortgage. I believe the food is very fairly priced for the quality delivered!!!!

Monday dining? 1/2 price appetizers are offered.

“Lovely quaint place that defiantly has a neighborhood feel.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2012

Lovely quaint place that defiantly has a neighborhood feel. The service was wonderful and the atmosphere pleasant. The gem is located on Spring Garden Street and next door to a pizza place, but the outside seating is still very acceptable even is the view is a little tawdry. The food had a creative flare. One thing I wish I had know before hand was the establishment always one to bring their own bottle of wine!

“Fun, fresh, relaxing, great food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2012

This place offers great, inventive food in a fun environment. My favorite waitress brings a special quirky sensibility to the service - and she even sent me home with fresh eggs from her daughter's chickens one time. Menu offers a nice mix of the casual (e.g. BLT with truffle fries), the unique (e.g. hen of the woods mushroom vegetable soup), and more upscale offerings. Wonderful selection of cheeses to make a plate to share.
