So I booked this B&B online through Priceline as a last minute weekend getaway for me and my husband. The listing stated "Most spacious room with private bath and private entrance."
I got an email from the owner late that night stating that the only room available was the Queen Anne room. There was no description of the room given and none on the website so I responded asking if this room has a private bathroom. However, I didn't get a response back before arriving.
When we arrived we were told that the room we reserved wasn't available and had actually been booked since March. The owner apologized and advised that she had a room for us with a private bathroom and would include breakfast for the inconvenience. The room was quaint but very small and the bed was really not big enough for two people to sleep comfortably. The "private bath" was actually a hallway bathroom that could be used by anyone else on the floor. There is usually no TV, but she did give us one from another spare bathroom. Just a note, there is no cable in the bedrooms although there is cable available in the downstairs living room.
On the plus side the location of the home is great. It's in a nice quiet area and within walking distance to a couple of neighborhood restaurants that were very good.
Overall, I didn't get what I had booked and paid for (there was no price adjustment for the smaller room) and that left me feeling less than satisfied. It doesn't look like the online postings are updated so I would recommend only booking by phone. Based on this experience I don't think I will stay again.
