Coming into Greensboro for an event at the Coliseum I found every hotel in town booked for 'furniture week'. I stumbled across this B&B on Expedia and booked with some hesitancy. We had a fine experience here. As we walked up to the house, Glenna very nicely greeted us and made us feel right at home - showing us around the house and answering our questions.
The house is in a very pleasant neighborhood just off downtown Greensboro with parking right up front. The house is newer drywall construction so was newer in terms of other B&B's I have stayed in so it provided the feel of staying at a friend's house rather than an old 'inn' or perhaps other B&B's I have stayed in that might sometimes be in older homes.
The room was comfortable with a queen bed (there are only two rooms in the house) with wall-to-wall carpeting, a spacious closet, and well equiped bathroom. Two bottled waters and fresh apples were waiting for us in the room. We had access to what seemed to be a very pleasant balcony that overlooks the street but did not have time to try it. The room/house is very quiet - there does not appear to be a TV in the house - no problem for us. The WIFI worked great.
The downstairs of the house has a very well appointed sitting area/living room. We enjoyed a well prepared breakfast in the dining room and we were on our way.
If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful, and reliable place to stay near downtown Greensboro - Haynes Bed and Breakfast is a solid choice.

Summer evenings on our upper porch, which we reserve just for our guests are very pleasant. A cool drink, the ceiling fan and watch the world go by. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us.
