My husband and I came to the inn for two days to rest, relax, and enjoy Greensboro. The inn is beautiful and our room very comfortable. We stayed in the Nina suite. All of the rooms are beautiful and comfortable but we especially enjoyed the extra space of the king sized bed, sitting area, roomy tub, fireplace, and abundant light from windows. Judy and Larry are fantastic hosts. We mentioned wanting to bike and asked about trails nearby and within five minutes she had printed out a map of the greenway a few miles from the house. Upstairs in the hall there is a hospitality area stocked current magazines, dvds, snacks, hot drinks, a microwave and a mini fridge for all the guests with water, juice and soft drinks. In the morning they brink up a lovely tray of coffee or tea at 7:30 which was so nice. Breakfast is usally at 8:30 in the beautifully set dining room. She accommated my need for gluten free food very well and had delicious breakfasts every morning for me! Breakfast is a refined affair, using china, and two courses. She has a menu written on paper for each day and it was varied and delicious each day. We started each day with a fruit compote with many kinds a fresh fruit sliced with a bit of orange juice. Then we had eggs (baked in individual dishes with cheese and spinach, or peppers-- very delicious) some type of meat (bacon one day, sausage another), and a starch (homefried potatoes one day, homemade granola bars the next). She also gave us a choice of juice, coffee or tea. Everything is very beautifully presented and we felt like royalty! She even packed up a few granola bars for me to enjoy later! We really enjoyed every minute of our visit and would highly recommend this B and B to anyone visitng the Greensboro area.
The Inn is close to UNC-G and we cycled around the campus and had lunch one day at Chipotle near campus. The Inn is also within short driving distance of many nice restaurants. One night we went out to Print Works Bistro at Proximity Hotel which was great. We also had take out Chinese one night and they gave us plates to eat on and places mats and silverware and we ate in the dining room which was lovely.
Hope you can enjoy this gem for yourselves sometime! We hope to be back!
PS they don't have a pool but I accidentally marked it and can't figure out how to undo it--
We loved the Nina room with its roomy tub, sitting room, fireplace, and king size bed.
