My friend and I stayed here for 3 nights in February 2013 with a voucher bought from livingsocial.com.
The biggest pro was that the staff were excellent. They were so friendly and accommodating, and as the hotel owner said to us, he wants his guests to feel as though they are at home. Because of this, and how small the hotel is, there was a great dynamic between the other guests - we would eat dinner together every night and got to be friends. If you wanted something, you could ask the staff and they would try to get/make it for you. With the added games and DVDs available, it is a place in which you can feel "at home".
The food was really great, although I believe customers will begin to demand a menu/choice (at the moment you get what you're given, unless you ask otherwise). The views were stunning, be sure to check out the stars at night, it's amazing! The hotel has security at the doors as well which makes you feel safe.
A big disappointment for myself and my friend was that the spa to the "guest house and spa" was no built yet. This was frustrating because, especially with this hotel location being middle-of-nowhere-unless-you-pay-tonnes-for-an-excursion, there was not much else to do at the hotel. Not to mention, the hotel was advertised as a peaceful location, which it is, but not when you have 3/4 workers hammering.
On top of this, our television and air conditioning didn't work, so when in our rooms we were cold and bored. While we stayed here the hot water was broken (they did fix it on our last day though) and you must ask to have the water pressure turned on. Our shower was not fixed, so we had to sit in a very cold concrete bath to shower (looks amazing, but poorly designed).
Lastly, an unfortunate issue I had was with my bill at the end of our stay. There were 3 mistakes on it, trying to charge us extra (about £70) for airport transfer and food, which were included in our voucher. This was cleared up when I provided proof, but it did kind of sour our stay. (also, a gin and lemonade cost £9!)
I believe this hotel has great potential to do well, but needs to focus on the fundamentals, such as water, food and air conditioning. With this, and the spa built, Kasbah Igoudar will be a really great place to stay for a relaxing couples break.
