“The best came!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2013

As I said before, I had booked this Hotel for Christmas and New year. I did not know what to expect apart from sunshine and a great welcome. Christmas dinner was wonderful. They catered for every body, Traditional Turkey dinner (for the English) Fish, lobster, prawns, it was all there. and the desert table was a picture in itself mainly for the children Ginger bread house full of sweets. Then the New Year. yet again a wonderful meal with Champagne flowing at midnight. It gave you time to call home as it was only 9pm in England.
I did not write this earlier as I wanted to make sure I was booked in first before all the rooms are taken.

Room Tip: Garden rooms are quieter, and the view down the creek is full of activity.

We have just returned from a 3 week honeymoon at this hotel. It is truly beautiful and the staff are lovely. We had a garden room and it was fun sat on the balcony watching the monkeys playing and eating from the mango trees that are all around. The infinity pool is to die for and the animation team roger especially keep you occupied with water aerobics, volley ball and water polo. Although if you don't want to partake there is no problem they leave you to chill out. The pool boys and waiters are there at your beck and call and will totally go out of there way to please you. This hotel is fabulous although it is not close to any other hotels the local village has 3 bars that made us all welcome but they are very basic! The evening entertainment is ok but if your looking for lively and loud all night partying this is not the place to go. The water sports are included with all inclusive packages and are good fun. I would also recommend a day out with captain issa who you can contact through the hotel. We went snorkelling and had a BBQ cooked on the boat then carried ashore to eat on an empty relaxed beach where the water was like a hot bath amazing day. And if your planning a safari I would highly recommend Jt safaris whom we booked separate while still in the uk check him out on trip advisor I have also put a review on there.

we stayed at this hotel in 2012, and are now about to rebook for next year, the hotel is amazing, the staff are very friendly and wecoming, we has a garden view which is amazing with the monkeys.. the food was to a high standard althou not always to my taste, the cheif goes out of his way to accomadate. you are not harrased for tips. and nothing is to much trouble. when we stayed there was building work going on, but this really was not an issue, infact was fasinating to watch... were rebooking here so we can see the finished platform overlooking the sea. this is not a night life hotel at all, althou has small entertainment put on in evenings and during day.. excurisions run from the hotel too. if you want a fantastic holiday with a fabulous hotel this is the one.. it has a private beach with bar running free watersports,,,, fab holiday thankyou,,, see you again soon

Room Tip: go for a garden view, you can still see the start of the indian ocean and it has a small bathing poo...

Just returned from our second stay at the Mnarani (the first was two years ago with Neilson).
Once again enjoyed everything about it, food, pool, beach, staff, room, spa treatments, escorted walks to school and village with the hotel animators, tuktuk to Kilifi, Captain Issi dhow trip, free catamaran joy ride and trial windsurfing lesson with 3 o South - plus a 2 day safari - just wish we had been staying more than a week. A great mix of relaxation with plenty of other interesting things to do and easily accessible places to get to and great value for money. Thank you

This hotel was a pleasant experience: excellent food, beautiful infinity pool and attentive staff. Strongly recommended. Wifi available 10e/24h.
What was way below expectations was the Buccaneer dive centre. The dive guides couldn´t have been less interested in the underwater life and their knowledge was rather inferior. All the dive guide found were lionfish that are plentiful and easy to find... Moreover, they were about to take a girl on an intro dive to rather rough seas with strong surge still at 14m. Most likely there were very few dive spots nearby since they had nothing else to offer except those with strong surge and very poor visibility. Of course weather conditions were not their fault, but negligence of the comfort and safety of an inexperienced diver was. Even though the dive centre is nearby I recommend diving with another company

Thank you for your positive comments on the hotel.

We have taken note of your review of the dive center and have discussed the issues with the diving instructor. We understand that the weather was quite rough over the last week or two which has restricted the dive sites available. The instructor assures us that standards were adhered to and he has taken your comments on board.

Our long time Instructor Tim returns from a sabbatical on 1st of February and as his many satisfied customers can attest his enthusiasm is second to none, especially in his quest for nudibranchs and other small critters. We hope if you return to Mnarani Club you will have another try and enjoy what underwater Kilifi has to offer.

Just got back from a great holiday was dreading going as Kenya is somewhere I neva thought of going till my partner booked it......the airport was a bit of a nightmare especially if you filled in the white form....the transfer was about an hour an half....on arrival at the hotel we were greated with a drink and a small chat with the manager....we were taken to are room which was basic but very spacious.... ...the food was OK not a lot of choice but always something for everyone and there was a snack menu which you could have throughout the day....the pool was lovely and wasn't freezing cold like some I've been in.....there is a private beach which is nice but there is a lot of steps to go down to get to it and it was a killer come back up....u could just sit on your sunbed either at the pool or on the beach and the waiters will bring u drinks when Eva u want so u don't have to move if u don't want to......the entertainment wasn't all that good and only went on for about an hour if that.....this hotel is very quiet the only time there was music was when they did water aerobics coz people kept complaining it was to loud which it wasn't all in all it was a nice holiday and we meet some lovely people

We stayed here over Christmas and New Year 2012/13 and loved it all. The view of the pool and the creek as you walk into the hotel after a long journey is beautiful. The friendly welcome from all members of staff in the hotel made us feel at home right form day one and the service was excellent at all times. We enjoyed the food because it was fresh and I felt there was enough variety for the fortnight. If you had any issues or special requests , the Manager would do his utmost to cater for personal needs or preferences. The hotel employ a team of animators who are all locals who know the area well. They will not only provide entertainment around the pool for all ages but also took us on walks into the locality and even long bike rides by request. The location of the hotel is amazing with breathtaking views of the creek and a welcome breeze . The watersports company on the hotel beach are fantastic and can coach even wobbly beginners like me with patience and enthusiasm. Overall this was a thoroughly enjoyable holiday and I cannot wait to go back. In many years of travelling and staying in a variety of hotels I have never felt so welcomed and spoilt as I did at mnarani. They certainly made a real effort for both Christmas and New Year with magnificent banquets which felt like a real treat.

Room Tip: we enjoyed the peace of a garden room and loved watching the monkeys come down to feed off the mango...
