Restaurant closes at 2 on Sunday of memorial day weekend. No vending machines so get drinks at snack at front desk so its a good wait if front desk personnel are checking people in or out. Elevators are brutal. Its especially frustrating because they force you to take elevator to 2nd floor in order to take stairs down to 1st floor pool. Whirl pool closed by depth of health and sauna does not work. No towel at pool.

My husband and I stayed 4 nights at the Greenbelt Marriott (full service). We were attending a wedding.
The staff was very welcoming, and the hotel was neat and clean.
We ordered room service twice, which was on time and with a smile ( a little pricey, but ...thats room service 101)
Free Wifi in the lobby but a $12 fee in the rooms to my surprise; I would have enjoyed the comfort of my laptop in my room.
The bar was pleasent and comfortable. Not fancy but nice. The food was good though the menu was limited.
We did not visit the restaurant, but on Sunday the brunch buffet looked and smelled wonderful!
Close by was a shopping mall with Burlington Coat Factory and a few other favorites!
Also Golden Corral was a 10 min ride....wooot wooot!!!!!!
The best of two worlds (smile)
It was a nice relaxing extended weekend. Only called the kids twice to my surprise!!
Wedding colors- Black and White....and the Wedding was awesome located on the US Navel Yard in DC. ( 25-30 min ride)
I do... love this Marriott

Room Tip: Book well in advance, arrive early!

This is a true bargain for the DC area. The location is also pretty ideal really - you are literally a mile from the Metro. AND, if you dont feel like walking - the hotel provides a shuttle during pre-set hours. With the Metro - you are within minutes of most attractions in DC without having to worry about parking. The staff was very friendly, room clean and HUGE! My wife and I are more accustomed to Fairfield/Staybridges and I dont know that we will be able to go back after having such a large living space. Would highly recommend to anyone traveling to DC!

My family has stayed at the Greenbelt Marriott so many times over the past 10 years and not once have we been disappointed. We come to the area to visit family and staying at this fine hotel is always a treat. The rooms are comfortable and immaculate, the pool is fantastic, the restaurants delightful. But what truly makes this hotel stand out is the amazing attention of the staff. Without fail, every person from the front desk, waiters, housekeeping, and valets greets us warmly and is at our service. My youngest daughter once remarked that she would like to live here because everyone is always smiling and happy. Any issues that have come up have been dealt with immediately, whether it's a noisy neighbor, a request for extra towels, a lost key, or special dietary needs. (For example, my daughter lost an earring and I casually mentioned to the front desk that if it turned up to let me know--not a big deal, it wasn't valuable. The next thing I knew, Security was filing a report and I received, not one, not two, but THREE phone calls after I returned home to follow up--and the earring was eventually found!) We always get the phenomenal breakfast buffet--so hard to choose between the huge omelets with anything you want in them or the equally huge Belgian waffles with fresh whipped cream and strawberries. I absolutely love love love this hotel and its staff and recommend it to anyone traveling in the DC area!

Stayed here for a 4-day weekend and was apalled at the sub-standard level of service for a Marriott!! Came back to our room at 6pm and housekeeping hadn't showed up yet. The sheets were short-sheeted on our king bed for our entire stay. Room service dishes were not picked up from room after housekeeping came. Despite many calls to front desk issues were never resolved. Toilet did not flush properly and was never dealt with. Icing on the cake was the stale chocolates that were left on our pillow.....yuck!! Will not stay here again. Very disappointing for a Marriott hotel.

We stayed at the Marriott Greenbelt for one night in October. The hotel is located fairly close to DC, which is why we picked it--we planned to go into DC the next day and were looking to avoid paying DC hotel prices on a high-demand weekend.

The hotel is located only a couple of miles from the Metro station, which made it ideal for our purposes. It was also easy to get to from the highway. While Greenbelt itself is hardly a tourist destination, there were many retail stores located only a short driving distance away, along with a fair number of chain restaurants. The hotel also has a restaurant.

Check-in went smoothly, and the front-desk staff were extremely friendly. The hotel itself is very nicely appointed, with a waterwall feature in the lobby. The rooms were large and comfortable, with comfy beds, flat screen tvs, coffee makers, etc. While we didn't take advantage of them, the pool and gym looked decent.

We had a nice stay here at a great price that included breakfast (with a chef station for made-to-order omelets and waffles). I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone looking to stay close to but outside of DC.

We arrived in the evening after an event in Washington, D.C. Staff were professional and courteous - checked us right in and off we were to our room. The room was very clean. Breakfast the next morning was included in our room rate - nice, nothing over the top at the breakfast buffet, but definitely got the job done. Will stay here again when traveling to Washington D.C. Very close to the Greenbelt Metro station. Wish though high-speed wireless internet in the room was included - in this day and age, it should be!!
