This is an older hotel set back from the main road, so it was quiet, and it felt like I was in a safe are. Every room has a mini fridge and microwave, and there is a complimentary full hot and cold breakfast everyday. There is a fitness room in the basement, if you want to workout. This hotel is a short walk, or even shorter drive to a strip mall including a Bally's Fitness Center that is free if you show your Holiday Inn Key, a Safeway Grocery Store, and a bunch of other shops. There is a Wendy's and Chevy's in the same plaza, if you get hungry. They have WiFi bridges for free internet access if you do not have a WiFi card, and if you do not have a computer there is a little computer in the hallway off the lobby and it is a pay service of a quarter per minute, but there was problems using this computer and printer and we ended up not being able to use it and having to go to Kinko's in College Park. There is ample free parking, it should be noted that there is no easy public transportation to this location, the hotel does NOT offer shuttle service, and the closest Metro is about 3 miles away, so you will need to bring a car or rent a car somewhere to access this hotel. The hotel is easily accessible from Rt 1, Rt 295 (from BWI), and convient to Rt 193. I had business all week in College Park, and this hotel was convenient to the College Park area.

We only stayed one night, but we found this hotel to be very clean, beautiful lobby, comfortable furnishings, great location (Starbucks in next parking lot!). No chance to try food or room service; staff extremely friendly and helpful!

*Very nice workout room with TVs and updated treadmills. There was also a "doctor's office scale" in the room. There were no free weights but there was a sit-up bench. Clean towels were also available

*Free hot and cold breakfast. The breakfast buffet was ample. Everything you could imagine was available including cold cereal. You're given a breakfast coupon for each morning you're there.

*The rooms are well appointed and the beds are super comfortable - pillowtop mattresses.

*Internet availability through TV and at a terminal in the lobby. I did not try the TV method, but the lobby terminal is super fast. However, it is $1 for five minutes, which isn't bad if you know where you're going online.

*Walking distance to CVS drugstore - one of the nicest I've been to.

*Amazing rates.

*There's a lounge on the main floor. Get on the second or higher to avoid hearing the music at night.

*There's also a dog park accross the street.

Be warned - the walls are thin, so ask to get next to a vacant room.

This hotel is the nicest I've ever stayed in inside of the United States, and I've been to many hotels.

My husband and I recently stayed at the hotel for a wedding which was held next door. The desk person who checked us in was VERY friendly and gave us several options for things to do before and after the wedding.

I know the wedding got us a discounted rate, but instead of being treated like a "low fare" they were really nice to us.

We only tried the restaurant for breakfast, but the buffet was alright. Nothing out of this world, but decent.

I have recommended and will continue to recommend this hotel as a good place to stay.

My husband and I stayed at the hotel while we were in Maryland for a football game. Check in was quick, and the gentleman at the front desk was friendly. Our room was on the second floor not far from the elevators. We requested a non smoking room with a king sized bed and were given our choice. The room was very clean. There was a recliner and ottoman, desk and chair, and lots of lamps for llghting, including a floor lamp next to the recliner which would make the perfect spot for reading the newspaper or a good book. The bed linens were spotless, and the bed was turned down for us upon checking in. The bed was very comfortable. There were no sags, lumps, or bumbs to be found. The shower was a little hard to turn on. The one knob had to first be pulled out then turned to the desired temperature. My husband had trouble getting the knob to extend out, but with a little muscle we were able to finally have running water.

We stopped by the hotel restaurant for a quick snack to take back to our room. Our food was not that great. Most of it was cold, and not a good value for the price we paid. The breakfast buffet was better. They had the usual breakfast fair- bacon, eggs, sausage, french toast, etc.

My only complaint was the noise level outside of the hotel doors after midnight. The hotel resturant is also a lounge/bar at night with visitors that are and also aren't hotel guests. We stayed on a Friday so things were very lively at the bar. Since our hotel was on the second floor next to the elevators, we were also very close to the outside entrance to the hotel. We could see the front door from our window, and look down on people sitting outside the hotel. Guests of the hotel and lounge were constantly going and coming through the entrance. Some were even sitting outside on benches near the door talking and laughing very loudly. I strongly suggest you request a room near the back of the hotel away from the front entrance or on a higher floor (4 or above) if you are staying here on the weekend to avoid the noise.

Overall, I would stay at the hotel again. The room was nice which is the most important thing to me. I would, however, avoid the restaurant and request a different room.
