“Convenient location and friendly staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2012

Recently turned a three night stay into a two night stay, shortened due to weather, but enjoyed the location and accommodations.

We were in the area to visit friends, and easily drove into DC via the conveniently located BW Parkway. We were in downtown DC in less than 30-minutes.

The staff was very helpful - allowing us to use silverware and dishes from the closed cafe to eat our late dinner purchased outside the hotel.

The lobby area is warm and welcoming (great fireplace!)

The only things we did not like: the pool hours! Weekdays it is closed all day until 5pm-10pm.
The fitness room is fine, but small. Just 2 treadmills and one elliptical. Weights.

Free wifi!

I would stay here again at the right rate.

My husband and I selected 2 Queen Beds for maximum comfort. Our room and the premises were very clean, very comfortable, and close to our destination. The convenience of free Wi-Fi and the business center made our trip that much more pleasant. We were aware of the indoor pool and exercise center; they both looked inviting, but, time did not permit our usage. Excellent overall.

I've stayed here for business that lasted a week or more, on two different occasions. Found the hotel and staff to be great in all areas of the hotel. The rooms were clean and fresh. The staff was courteous and helpful. The food was also pretty good. The bar has a decent wine selection and the cafe booths have their own t.v.

This was a very comfortable environment and close to freeways, eateries and shopping. A good choice for business or pleasure trips.

The room was clean and brightly lit. The bathroom was well let and recently remodeled. The desk had plenty of space and outlets to use and charge all of my devices. The couch was also very comfortable.
Two cons: not remote for TV in room touch about 10 minutes waiting at the front desk to get one. It also had three of four pillows with down feathers that needed to be replaced with foam. Hotel companies just dismiss that many travelers or allergic to feathers and cats and dogs and have not system to ensure a traveler does not get a room with one or more of these allergic conditions. This took about a half hour to get the pillows replaced.
They treat disabled people with respect but dismiss people with allergies.

Room Tip: Ask for no feathers, good luck with that!

Stayed here for a one night visit before a Redskins game. I have stayed at other hotels in the vacinity but this is a first at the Courtyard. Was greeted by a beautiful lobby that looked more like a resto-lounge. All it needed was the some up-beat techno background music. I was upgraded to a suite which was perfect considering there were several of us there and it gave us a place to watch the college games. The suite reminded me of some of my Vegas hotel rooms with hip furnishings.

A closer look still reveals the bones of the business friendly Courtyard concept but I would not hesitate to stay here again with family, wife, etc.

Room Tip: If you are Marriott Rewards Elite, see if they will upgrade you to a suite.

It was suggested by family that we get a hotel outside of DC and take the train (subway.) This would avoid not only driving in the city, but keep costs down as well. Worked like a charm!

The hotel is about 15 miles or so from DC and easy to find. We had Google instructions, and it pretty much took us right there. It's off a main road and behind, along with a number of other hotels. Check-in was quick and simple and the staff was friendly.

There was no breakfast included and we were aware, as we asked when booked over the phone. Housekeeping forgot the shampoo, body wash...but we got a handful and an apology when we went downstairs.

The bed was very comfortable, the room okay clean, but the bathroom overall could really use a good scrub. Perhaps not just this property, but whatever happened to shiny squeaky clean??

Getting to and navigating the train station was easy. Staff directed us, (no GPS) and it was only a couple of miles from the hotel. Basically park your car for a standard fee that is charged on your credit card (no attendant, no cash), walk inside and attendants are there to assist you with train tickets. All the DC attractions are on the rail; we were thankful not to have to drive in the city.

We would perhaps stay again at the Greenbelt Marriott, but since it saves so much time to eat breakfast at the hotel before leaving for the day, we would probably opt for the Marriott with the breakfast, if it were part of the friends and family availability.

I have stayed here several times over the past 4 months. It has always been a great place to stay. Close to DC and then close to several restaurants. Not to mention the ones inside the hotel. The beds are always comfortable. The staff always goes out their way to be helpful and friendly. By the way -- The rack rate is $169/night the most that I have paid is $72/night, the least was $50/night bidding on Price-line.
