“Ta Thai!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2012

After a long day, nothing felt better than sitting down and being served a wonderful meal. Sharon and I, along with Meredith visited a local Thai restaurant only 6 miles away. Two thumbs up to the waitstaff and kitchen. We started off with an order of Spring Rolls and the Chive Dumplings. Followed by the Red Curry Beef, Duck Basil and Muss-Beef. The gals had the Siri's Ruby cocktail from the bar and we finished up with a very tasty Kanom Tuy desert.

Oddly enough, one of the seemingly common topics of discussion at the checkout was how large the black catfish was in their aquarium.

“For a Good Dining Experience in Greenbelt”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2012

It's hard to find a decent restaurant in Greenbelt, Maryland because most of the place is riddled with sub-par chains and fast food. If you're looking for something a bit more elegant and intimate than that, and maybe something not crowded with loud kids and big groups, then I'd recommend Chef's Secret, a Thai restaurant on Greenbelt Road. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside, they took care with the design (although it looks like the interior could use some repairs). It's a pleasant little family-owned restaurant that serves reasonably priced Thai-American style food, as they call it. So you'll find what has become very typical Thai menu options like Pad Thai and Tom Kha, and so forth. It isn't the best place in Maryland for Thai (for that, try Royal Thai in Silver Spring), but is still a nice little place to get away from all the hustle of the District. We go quite a bit.

“Have Never Been Disappointed!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2012

Located just a few hundred feet west of Beltway Plaza, on Greenbelt Rd (Rt 193), in Greenbelt, MD, Siri's Chef Secret offers oodles of easy, free parking. This staple of the neighborhood is a must, if you enjoy Thai cusine. Siri's clean, serene atmosphere is pefect for a business or romantic lunch or dinner, & you dont need to shout to be heard by a group of friends! For several decades, have taken scores of friends & visitors here, and even non-asian-food lovers find items they enjoy, enough to return. Latest lunch favorites are unusual Pad Tai (minced vs. large chunks of nuts), & Drunken Noodles! Do try Tai Iced Tea; a creamy orange/green tea burst, that softens strong Thai flavors! Lunch at CS costs a couple extra dollars over a boring sandwich, but is well worth the serenity, excellent food, & service that will leave you feeling 'special,' the rest of your day!

“Consistent quality, diversity and atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 6, 2011

Out on a date, business meeting or casual dining? For the local dining community, this classy restaurant is no secret! Whether you want traditional Thai or American alternatives, the first class service, attention to detail, and consistent quality of entrees will keep you returning to this restaurant. Although many dishes are traditional Thai, American choices are excellent as the sea scallops are one favorite of this reviewer-the real thing- gently breaded and served hot.
..And the Thai dishes, expertly seasoned, will please the palette, as well as the eye. We keep returning, have never been disappointed, and always leave fulfilled, without a major dent in the wallet!
The modestly subdued lighting makes for a nice intimate atmosphere, but not so dim, that a business dinner would be in error. The nondescript exterior should not make you second guess, for once inside, you are will be pleased. Presentation of the entrees is truly artistic, and definitely will keep this dining choice in your return list.
