“Clean, Friendly, and Beautiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 5, 2013

Stayed 3 nights in a large view room overlooking beautiful scenery and enjoyed reunion with old friends after a few years. The whole place looked better than I remember from years back and I think the staff has a lot to do with it because the were on top of things even with our fairly large group. Food was delicious and place was spotless. Again very helpful staff for our large group because some had smaller kids and other had older ones and they had something for everyone. Looking forward to doing it again

My family and i travel to gatlinburg every year. we absolutely love coming here for fall/winter whether its watching the leaves change, or going up to ober gatlinburg for tubing and ice skating. This year we decided to find something a little away from town but way out in the middle of nowhere. Well we stumbled upon this beauty and absolutely loved our stay! The staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious and clean and must say the wood burning fireplace is a nice touch to have. They give you the first nights free then have to purchase wood after which is fine. And the creek behind the hotel is wonderful as well, very relaxing. The hot breakfast was a good compliment to the room. Got to get some morning fuel! Over all, we enjoyed our stay and would gladly come back again no questions asked.

Room Tip: spend the extra $10 for deluxe room. much more spacious and more modern

We stayed here over Thanksgiving weekend, and found the rates great, staff friendly, room CLEAN AND ROOMY, they gladly refunded the pet fee when the dogs didn't travel with us.
Could not have been happier with Brookside.

My wife has been staying at brookside since she was a child and I have stayed at Brookside for several years. We look forward to having a night to relax with the fireplace and jacuzzi.... So we get to Brookside and first thing right off the bat is they give us the wrong room... Then when we got to our room we noticed that there wasn't any firewood and called front desk and had to go all the way back to the office for firewood... Got back to the room an noticed they were no matches in the room either... Had to go back to the office again.... Then wanted ice and ice machine was empty.... Back to the room to start a fire and noticed the 5 small pieces of wood was wet.... Got in the bed and started watching TV and started itching and pulled sheets back and noticed..... BED BUGS.... Full of bed bugs.... Poor ownership/management.... will NOT be back....

While I can not speak about the other rooms or buildings I can not give the Pet Friendly rooms a good rating. We were in 274, the room smelled musty and it was very old. Everything was old and battered and in need of replacement. Pillows were so flat that putting two together were not of any benefit. Could not access internet from room. I was quoted a price by phone and even asked if that price included dog fees and I was assured that everything was included.....I ended up paying for what equaled four nights and only stayed three. The fees were not in the quote I received. The room we were in was too close to the traffic light so we listened to stop and go traffic all night. The motel is close to everything but it is up a hill off the main drag so going down is easy but remember coming back up is the hard part! :0

We just came back from a 2 night stay at Brookside Nov. 5th and 6th and like always the staff was wonderful and so nice. We stayed in the same building as before and we loved it so much. The sound of the creek is so soothing and we left the window open at night just to hear it. The breakfast is amazing, hot oatmeal with lots of topping, nuts, brown sugar, raisins, dates, and biscuits and gravy, cereal, muffins, bagels, plenty to choose from and very tasty. I am sure we will return again one day, and we look forward to it. This is not a fancy hotel, but a oldie but goodie.

Room Tip: We loved our room very large. And loved having the new TV's.

We stayed for four nights in mid October and had a wonderful time. Our room was exactly as is was described to us. We enjoyed being able to hear the brook outside our room and the breakfast each day was sufficient. The location of the hotel was perfect and there was no traffic noise.
We will stay at Brookside again and highly recommend it.
