“Not as good as last time”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 18, 2013

They put us in a different building this time and it seems to needs a little work. Overall it was ok, there was some mold on the walls in the shower and on the shower curtain. We love the fact that all of the rooms open up to the river. We would stay there again.

Got a living social deal that was super cheap for this hotel. I think if I would of had to pay full price I would of been a little disappointed.
But everything was clean, and the mattresses were ok. A little soft for me but no harm done to the back.
Our room had a new flatscreen tv but that appeared to be the only thing that has been updated in the room, examples being the wood paneling and the light fixtures that hang from chains that go down the wall. Kinda reminded me of my grandmothers house.
Pool was nice looking with slide and waterfall was just a little cold for us try it out.
So if you're on a budget and can get a deal I would say go ahead!

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and loved it so much we returned for our anniversary. we stayed in the honeymoon suite had a nice big kitchen an awesome huge jacuzzi tub king size bed and a fireplace the back patio looks out onto the creek. its simply beautiful I love the ambiance of everything and the staff is amazing super friendly and very helpful they definitely make this place somewhere you want to return. I love the pools and waterslides as well as the Jacuzzi....with my job I stay in a lot of hotels, this one sets the bar.

I've read the previous not so great reviews. We didn't see any of this during our stay.

We stayed in room 422. Large room, clean, looked newly renovated, balcony overlooking creek.

The breakfast was what we expected. Nothing great but basics to have something before heading out.

Amazing pools next to a huge tree that provides some shade for those of us that want to swim but not lay in the sun. The downside to that is the pools fill with the leaves that fall. Staff was out cleaning it every morning but by 2 it was full again. Not sure what the solution is. Maybe clean out the leaves every afternoon.

We definitely will not get the trolley day pass again. it was $2 for the day but since the trolleys only come every 40 minutes it took us 2 hours to get a couple miles. We could have spent $5 for parking and got there in minutes. Next time.

We would stay again.

We stayed one day in this hotel and thank god for that. We were really disappointed with the hotel. With the amount they charge it should have atleast the basics right but it was wrong on all the fronts. Firstly it was not clean, the bathroom tub had dirty water when we entered, it was far from decent, the bedsheets were dirty. They charged us 100 $ for view of the smokies ...there was a stream flowing behind but no view other than that. basic thing like the TV remote didnt work. It was away from the main gatlinburg place around/more than 1 mile so the parking was as such of no use. The breakfast was also very disappointing. We could not find a single thing to like about the place. If smoky mountain were not so beautiful it would have turned into nightmare trip.
