“Simple, no frills place to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2013

We stayed in a tower suites room, it had a fireplace(didn't use in the middle of summer), 2 queen beds, a kitchenette(fridge, microwave, sink), a balcony out back that overlooked a rushing creek. The view out back over the creek was nice. The room decorations were very outdated, probably hasn't changed since the 60's. TV was flatscreen though. That being said it was all very clean though. Front desk staff was helpful. Trolley stop is right out front of the hotel, however do not try to trolley to arts and crafts village, just take a car!

Room Tip: I think the rooms that aren't in the towers are updated, but not sure?

Bought a groupon and payed 55$ for the stay. Could not check in early as we were told our room was not clean. Though other people were able to??? Went to check in at 5pm and went to our room to find it was already occupied. Thank god we are honest people, closed the door and told them of their mistake. rooms older but have a cabin feel. Im 8months pregnant so the walk to and from gatlinburg was a little much but the tram took too long to arrive. Over all worth the 50$ we spent.

The location was the only thing we liked about this place. As soon as we walked in we noted that it reeked a sour odor. Although it was a non smoking room, we removed a full ash tray of cigarette butts from the balcony. The entire room was dated, I felt back in the 70;s and not well kept. The bath tile was mildew and the door hinges were completely rusted. Hind sight is 20-20 and we should of walked right back out, but it was late and we were tired and hungry and planned on leaving early. Oh, upon arrival my grandson needed to use the restroom. We were directed to use the one at the pool. It had urine on the toilet seat and all over the floor. Ugh.

If you are looking for a place to stay that has bugs (dead and alive) everywhere as well as dog hair, thick dust, and nasty sheets with stains all over than this is the place for you!! My boyfriend and I had booked this hotel for three nights but as little was 5 minutes of walking into our room and being completely disgusted we checked out and cancelled our stay. However, because of the 48 hour cancellation policy and the incompetent workers we were unable to get our $120.00 deposit back for the first night! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

Room Tip: Stay somewhere else.

We stayed here in for a few days in jan 2013 and it was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. When we booked most other hotels were full or over 250 a night so we decided to stay here. We read many of the reviews and most seemed to like it. So we got the room and the first thing we noticed walking in the room was the door falling apart, the carpet was very stained, the walls were dark and nasty looking, the back door to the balcony was falling apart, and there was hair all over the bathroom floor and walls. I don't know what kind of rooms everyone else stayed in but ours was bad and it was pet friendly so that may have something to do with the stains. It was so bad I didn't get under the sheets, needless to say I will not be staying here again.

Room Tip: Don't stay here

We stayed in July 2013 in a two queen bed room. The staff was great and the rooms clean and nice. It was very nice to have the kitchenette with two young children. We all loved the beautiful creek and walkway out back. The pool with kiddie pool, waterfall, and two slides was the best for a family with kids. We all had a great time. What you get for the price is fabulous and I love that it is a little off from the main traffic while still being close to everything. We will definitely be back! Thank you!

Exceptionally clean and comfortable room. Slept great. Good water pressure for shower. Had micro/fridge. Loved the balcony, could have stayed there the whole trip. Breakfast was adequate, esp included. Hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, biscuits and gravy, cereal, bagels and English muffins besides apples, oranges and not watered down OJ. My only complait was that the pool was very cold. Our room had been updated but still had the harvest gold bathroom however it was clean and that matters more to me. Room was spacious. Will come back in the fall so can use the fireplace :)

Room Tip: We stayed in 302 in the last building, very quiet and peaceful.
