“Large room, very clean!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2013

We stayed in a standard queen room on the 5th floor. The room was big and really spotless clean. I liked the balcony because I could watch all the dogs playing in the grass. The staff was friendly and breakfast was decent. The location is peaceful and quiet. I was pleasantly surprised and would stay here again.

We used our free night certificate here and then decided to stay an extra night. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and included a fridge, safe, hairdryer, iron, and microwave. There was an outdoor pool, though it was raining so we couldn't use it.

Good location, staff nice, and the free breakfast was pretty good. They had waffles, biscuits and gravy plus the usual continental breakfast food you would expect. The room was clean and very large but a little dated. It would appear that the rooms have not been updated in a long time but the furnishings were not worn out. Every room had a balcony which was pretty nice. The pool area was also nice but a little too cold for us to use it in this visit. If shopping for a room in this price range again I would stay here again.

I'm not a super picky person when it comes to hotels. I don't expect the Ritz when I arrive. I know you get what you pay for. We were looking for an affordable pet friendly hotel for the weekend, this one fit the bill. When we arrived we went to the office, got our key and room number. The first room we entered was dirty, beds were not made, trash everywhere. 2nd room was clean, but smelt like sewage and dog hair was everywhere including under the sheets. 3rd room was cleaner and smelt much better. I thought the beds were comfy, the free breakfast was good. Pool and balconies were nice. My main complaint was the designated dog area outside. It was a long walk down hill probably 75 feet from our room. That's the main reason I wouldn't book here again.

My wife and I stayed in a king size room a couple of weeks ago. The room was a decent size and the accommodations were acceptable. The breakfast was disappointing, even for a continental. The man at the desk when we checked in was brusque and unwelcoming. He also gave us a hard time about our rate. We inquired about a place to eat and he sent us downtown. In Gatlinburg, with all the tourists, that was terrible, and he should have known better.
We had a balcony on the sixth floor, and the floor was slanted. It made my wife and I uncomfortable to be outside. There was only one elevator, on the other side of the building. All in all, very disappointed.

Large rooms and clean, but the furniture is very old. Had an old style CRT TV that wasn't very big. The bed was very low to the floor and the mattresses looked like they were older than I am. There's a lot of motels in the area that are better deals than this one. But overall, I guess it was OK. Breakfast isn't until 7:30, so we left without getting any.

Big rooms, good price, fireplaces, balconies, free breakfast, problem is internet doesn't work. Also, pet-friendly. I don't travel without my toy-size little dog. Very few hotels are pet-friendly in Gatlinburg. Breakfast is okay. It has make-your-own waffles, bagels, toast, cereal, coffee, juice.

Room Tip: They have several varieties of room styles. Select 4th floor. From back of building, parking is le...
