Is a great little place for morning pastry, coffee, hot chocolate, not to pricey, open late on cool winter evenings! We always stop in for a yummy treat!!
I love these style of donuts. Not the typical mass produced donuts you get at most chain places. We went in the afternoon this time and the guy behind the counter was horrible. He treated the customer in front of us and ourselves horribly and shouldn't be working anywhere were he has to deal with customers as he seemed like he didn't want to be bothered. I don't know why because we were the only two in the shop, everyone had smiles and was happy, maybe just a bad day...

We always visit this place several times while we are in Gatlinburg, not just for breakfast. We take 2-4 dozen home with us & freeze them & when we eat them @ home we fantizise about being back @ the Donut Friar.

We went there for breakfast on 11/24/2012. It was busy but the line moved fast. They have excellent donuts! We love all the variety!
