“You can't beat free!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2008

DH is a huge Dukes of Hazzard fan so he enjoyed seeing the old memorabilia and having his picture made with the vehicles from the series. Note that though Cooter's is free, there is a $5 charge to have your picture made seated in the General Lee. We opted just to take a picture with DH standing beside it. This is a must-do for any Dukes fan.

“Pretty cool”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2008

I loved the Dukes of Hazard when it was on TV. I bought a Jeep Wrangler because of Daisy Duke. I stopped at Cooter's place in Gatlinburg in May. I got to take pictures of the General Lee, Cooter's tow truck and the Sheriff's car. There was only posters, a few Hazard clothing and a TV playing episodes of the show inside. They has some t-shirts for souveniers but it was still cool and it is free.

You have to be a Duke fan to appreciate this place. It is free and if you bring your own camera you can get your picture taken in the General Lee for $5

“Yee-Haw!! If you were or are a fan of the Duke boys & Daisy you must stop here”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 1, 2008

If you were, or are a fan of the the Dukes of Hazzard show, this is a must do attraction if you are going to be in the area. Daisy's jeep was gone last visit, but the General was there and tons of Duke memorabilia.

The building is full of scripts, pictures, promotional items from the Dukes of Hazzard show, items you may not have realized existed. You can take pictures by the General with your camera free, there was no charge to enter and look around what could be called a Dukes museum. It is hard to beat free on vacation.

There are lots of Dukes items that can be purchased if you are interested, and it is one of the few places in the area you can get a cold "Big Red" to sip while you check out the displays.

The staff was very friendly and informative. We will be stopping by on our next trip through GB.

“At least we did not pay for this!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2008

At least it was free, that is about the best I can say about this. I loved the show growing up and had heard about Cooter's opening in GB and looked forward to going. We arrived and we were ready to go in 5 minutes. They were not taking pics with the General Lee and no one special was there the day we went. They were more interested in selling you something than anything else. I certainly would not pay for this and I probably would not go back.
