“The best consistent restaurant in town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2014

I have been eating here for 45 years and have NEVER had a bad meal. Even when it is very crowded and busy it's always excellent. No matter what you order it will be great. The pancakes melt in your mouth. This is the ONLY restaurant in Gatlinburg that's worth visiting.

“THE VIENNA BURGER”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2014

Okay, it says "Pancake" Pantry and I've had great breakfasts there often. However, whenever I am in Gatlinburg, I "have" to order a Vienna burger. Sure, it's ground beef, but is so delicious that I can't be in town without it. The sauce mentioned is a wonderful addition in the way of a condiment. Add to it the cucumber-onion salad and the saurkraut and you have a wonderful meal. The french fries are great with it as well. I have always been served well there and do have a favorite waitress over the years. Although sometimes crowded, I feel treated like I am the only one in the restaurant. If I recall, they are open until 4 pm. I will be there Oct. 13 and 14th, 2014 once again from 500 miles away.

“Best Pancakes in Town....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2014

This restaurant is located in downtown Gatlinburg right next door to the Village Shops. Beware...they only take cash but there is an ATM located inside. They have many combinations of pancakes and toppings to choose from as well as french toast, crepes and eggs.

“Good food - you pay for more than you can eat. Cash only.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2014

You won’t go hungry at Pancake Pantry. In fact, I’d be happy to pay one third less for half as much. Expensive – and you get much more than you (or at least I) could eat. They only accept cash – a bit inconvenient unless you’re prepared for it. Of course you can always use the ATM inside and get hit up for a three dollar transaction fee. This is good food – though I made the mistake of ordering wildberry crepes for breakfast, and feeling like I had engorged on desert for the most important meal of the day. Next time I’ll order something more substantial – and there will be a next time – it’s worth a second trip.

“Good food but crammed seating”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2014

The food was good, but I did not enjoy being so crammed. People kept running into my seat. The do not take plastic, but do have an ATM on site. The portions were very big. The service was good.
