We've stayed at Carr's twice within the last year and are in the process of making a 3rd trip, hopefully around New Year's. I've visited Gatlinburg for more than 30 years with the last 23 spent with my husband on 2-3 night getaways. We have stayed at probably at least 15 different hotels in the area but this is by far our favorite and it is the most affordable. It's off the beaten path so you don't hear the street noise. It's clean, the staff is very nice and accomodating and it's a shame there are more places like Carr's in Gatlinburg. Nothing fancy, but clean and out of the way. The city used to have many Mom & Pop type establishments but no more. We hope to take our kids in the spring and meet some out of town family and they even have apartments and multi-room cottages to accomodate the larger groups. We love it and don't care to really stay anywhere else.

We loved everything about Carr's. If you are looking for a place full of free soap & shampoo, with the maid coming daily to your upscaled, overpriced room, this isn't for you. If you want an adorable room, with optional maid service, on a beautiful stream running right outside your room, with a balcony overlooking the stream, that's very clean & comfrotable, then this is your place. We had a king cottage, with fireplace. It was off-season, right before peak season begins & it was during the week. We absolutely love this place & will be going back, as well as recommending it to everyone we know!!! Also, the staff was terrific!!!

We just recently returned from our trip to Gatlinburg and it was great. We loved Carr's. It is not on the strip but within walking distance or you can take the trolley from the trolley stop on the main street for only .50 per person. Which was great because you didn't have to fight the traffic. We stayed in a 2 bedroom townhouse and it was really clean and spacious. We had 2 queen beds in one room and 1 queen bed in the other. The bedrooms are upstairs with a full bath. Downstairs we had a kitchen, 1/2 bath and living room. They offer maid service everyday but we chose to just get clean towels from the linen room. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is your typical mom and pop motel. We would recommend this to our friends and will definately return. They also have cottages that are very nice.
