“Good food... Slightly overpriced”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2012 via mobile

We booked the private dinner for two for the second time. The service was good, the food and privacy were good, but the quality of the food did not fit the high price tag.

“Nice dinner”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2012

My DH and I were in Gatlinburg for our anniversary and this restaurant came recommended by a friend so we decided to try it. I figured that it is best to list the pros and cons
Pros:
1. I had the brown sugar and cayenne filet and I didn't even need a knife to cut it
2. My husband had the porterhouse and enjoyed it.
3. Seated quickly (but it was a Tuesday)

Cons:
1. The service was not as attentive as I would hope considering how empty the restaurant
2. I don't mind paying for a good steak, but be prepared to pay about $30 per plate
3. They don't let you carry your firearm inside even with a concealed weapon permit (DH had to run back to the car which was not close)
4. The house salad was not anything special even though lots of reviewers enjoyed it
5. The bread was delicious but they were stingy with it, they bring out exactly as many pieces as are in your party (2). We asked for a refill and got exactly 2 more. Kinda ridiculous considering the prices of the restaurant.

Overall, the food was good. The service was OK. The prices were a little high, but that is understandable because everything in Gatlinburg is high and the steaks were good. Just be prepared.

“Completely not worth it!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2012

Any steak listed was over 24.95 for a family of four that's just way too much to pay for a meal that's not worth half that. Make a better choice elsewhere. A meal like we had was equivalent to a buffet/ponderosa type place back home. We will never go again. Nothing special not even close. The ducks were fun to feed afterwards though.

“Great food, great service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2012

We had a delicious meal here, the setting is lovely and we dined outside on the terrace. You can also feed the fish and ducks in the little stream.

Our server was Scott and he was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, he described the Prime Rib to us and my husband who is a steak lover chose this and was not at all disappointed. The French Onion Soup as a starter was very tasty, I also had Pork Tenderloins and they were delicious too. The Iceberg salad is huge! All the portions were of a good size, I would definately recommend this restaurant. Lovely food and lovely setting and attentive staff.

“Bring some extra cash”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2012

Coming from the land of New York Prime & Council Oak, we don't have a problem paying for high-quality steaks. The prices surely suggested they were prime grade, but the quality when they hit the table said something otherwise. Service was fine, just not impressed with the food. Especially at those prices.
