“Boyfriend Loved it”

I, not so much. He loved the chocolate whiskey, I liked the cinnamon but not enough for the price of $20 a fifth. But a great place to see and free buzz

“Ample samples, harsh candied whiskies, still entertaining.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2013

While, we had to wait for our turn at the bar.......the "bartenders" were willing to fully describe each whiskey and how it was different. Its fun to interact with the other patrons, with music playing in the distance. While, it wasn't our favorite spot.....we still really enjoyed it.

“Save your money!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2013

Overpriced junk to sell to the tourists! This stuff is an insult to real Tennessee whiskey. The blended and aged products are harsh and unrefined, while the flavored varieties taste like cheap candy flavored Schnapps. I would not have been so hard on the review if the prices were more in line with the quality of the product.

“Free whiskey samples, live mountain music, and rocking chairs! Fun!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2013

We were lured in by the sound of banjo, guitar, mandolin, and bass fiddle. In the front lobby, there are rocking chairs for you to rest and enjoy the band. What a wonderful treat. In the back, are about four bar areas where you can sample the best flavored Tennessee whiskey. Cream, cinnamon, pecan, chocolate and many more! The atmosphere is rustic and there are plenty of souveniers to choose from. We couldnt decide which whiskey to buy because they were all very good. It was wonderful to visit and especially take a seat and rock with foot stomping music!

“Meh...OK.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2013

Stopped in during our visit to Gatlinburg. The appearance of the shop was great. Really enjoyed the decor and the live music.

The whiskeys themselves:
Moonshine: Was very clean. Slight hint of corn. Enjoyable.

Maple Flavored whiskey. I found this to be like drinking a shot of log cabin syrup. Didn't really taste the whiskey flavor itself.

Bourbon: At least the dude pouring called it a bourbon. I would say it's somewhere between a Tennessee Whiskey and a bourbon. Now, I readily admit that I'm a bit of a bourbon snob. So, when a business says that they have bourbon, there's certain expectations that I have for the product. This stuff tasted like your run of the mill whiskey. Nothing special in my book.

Chocolate: Tasted a lot of chocolate in it, with a hint of whiskey burn.

Salty caramel: Liked the balance of the whiskey to the pecan flavoring.

Tennessee mud: My favorite of the samples. It's like a southern version of Irish Cream.

Cinnamon: Honestly, this stuff just tasted like Hot Damn! Cinnamon Schnapps. Overbearing cinnamon flavor that masks the whiskey flavor. If you're going to tell me it's a flavored whiskey, then I need to taste the whiskey.

Overall alcohol review: Very good shine, OK whiskey (would not call it a bourbon whiskey), and the flavored blends are hit and miss. They are either very good, or they overpower the notes of the whiskey.

Like another poster stated about the presentation: it needs polishing. They have a competitor across the street that has both a good product and great presentation. This store, however, needs to work on presentation.
