We stayed 2 nights at the Fairfield Inn in Gatlinburg and enjoyed our stay. Hotel was quiet an comfortable. Weather was cool, so we did not get to enjoy the pool area, but it looked very inviting. Breakfast was pretty standard for Marriott properties - adequate and tasty. Gatlinburg was a disappointment, as every inch of land has either a build or a parking lot (which costs approximately $8/day) to visit the tourist shops and buy "stuff". We enjoyed the Smokey Mountain National Park much more and the drive to Cades Cove is awesome.
