Our Webelos Scouts from Pack 815 did the 'Sleep with the sharks' program in February of this year. I had my doubts but had heard that it was great, and was! You camp out in the shark lagoon and have those giant sharks gliding all around you. There is no experience quite like it. In addition, you have the run of the place all by yourselves after it closes down. I highly recommend this program for Cub Scouts of all ages.

Gatlinburg is well known for having a lot of cheesy attractions,waiting to relieve tourists of their money, but the aquarium is not one of them. I've been there twice, and will go again in the future. I felt that i have gotten my money's worth both times. If you visit, the best time to go is late in the evening, when its less crowded. Like I said before ,the aquarium is the absolutly best attraction in the smokies, other than the mountains themselves.

This is an awesome aquarium. Like I said, skip the Tennessee Aquarium and come to this one. Tons of saltwater fish. Full of different sharks, octopus, sting rays, turtles and other creatures. The "kids" areas allow for interaction with plenty of sting rays and horseshoe crabs. This is for the kids at heart too. The aqarium also allows for a behind the scenes look at the control panels and filtration systems. Definelty worth going to.

We went on 4/26/04 (Monday) as it rained that day. And was a good place to be on a rainey day. The only thing we ran into was all the school kids that came in on buses for school trips and made it kind of hard to walk with our 17 month old, who just loved looking at all the fish in the large tunnel. Plus, we enjoyed it also.
