Peggy was great at educating us what cheese goes with what wine. She was fantastic! The store was very welcoming and clean. We will def. come here again next time!

“Learned a lot and tried some wine,”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2013 via mobile

Took the tour with Peggy and learned a lot about wine making. I left a little confused after hearing all of he good things about cork and how to store wine only to find out that they use metal screw on caps on their wine. I felt rushed during the tasting and was "sold" a three pack of wine after only two types. It was my first tasting so this may be normal, but I was expecting to taste different types and explore a little before purchasing. Left a little disappointed but will try some other tastings to compare

“Last stop on the Smoky Mountain Throwdown”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2013

Great chery wine. More tasting. This is part of a promotion called the Smoky Mountain Throwdown. You get five places that make and serve spirits to visit to taste their wares. If you make it to all five ou get a free t-shirt. The t-shirt is great, but the taste testing was even better.

“Wow!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2013

We hit all 5 wineries on the wine trail while there on our honeymoon last week. All were good, but none memorable except for this one! We really enjoyed our tasting, staff was knowledgable and friendly and helped us find a good in between for my husband and I's differing tastes. The Elkmont was incredible- we ended up drinking a whole bottle at our condo during the week and went back for another bottle. But, there was one stand out, and that was Peggy. We had requested to do a tour and here came Peggy, cheery, friendly, and knew her stuff. She poured us a glass of champagne and spent lots of time explaining the process and the differences in the oak barrels, etc. She even gave us tips on the best "local" places since we're wanting to move to Tennessee. We both left SO impressed. Later that week we were watching the area commercials on tv and I was half asleep, a deal came on about Sugarland Cellars and my husband yelled, PEGGY! (and I'm pretty sure he doesn't remember MY name half the time haha). Thanks, Peggy and Sugarland for an awesome awesome experience. We'll be ordering from you soon!
