I did not actually stay at the resort because I cancelled prior because of being duped. I had originally scheduled a weekend through Westgate and was to attend a time share presentation. I had requested a specific type of room and was ASSURED I would have it. However, several days later - conveniently after the 72 hour cancellation period - I received my email confirmation package which informed me that not only would I be staying at a different hotel than was originally reserved, my room was nowhere near what I had requested, and the people at the travel solutions department were NOT willing to work with me. Therefore, not only did I not get my much needed romantic weekend, but was out money for a cancellation fee. I will NEVER do business with Westgate, nor would I recommend it to anyone.

We bought into the resort in 2003. Thought it would be a good thing. In 2004, we returned and had a good time rafting and etc. Then we were took on a tour of the units H / I and were told all bout the different new things the resort had in store to construct and that we had the option to upgrade to this unit which can be used as a 1 or 2 bedroom. So after thinking about it we decided it would be a good idea and then we could bring family with us and they would have their privacy. So you meet and they make a proposal. You come to an agreement and then the WAIT. You have to wait for sometime for them to get the paper work done. Then you are taken upstairs and told sign here and here. And you put your trust in that you are getting what was discussed. So you sign and move on with your stay. But then when you get home and start to book that 2 bedroom you find out that is not what you paid another $5000.00 for. You are still in a 1 bedroom. You just bought every year rather than every other year. YES sucks big time, you did not get what you argreed to and all they can say is that is not what you signed for. SO IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THIS RESORT, BE SURE TO READ EVERY LITTLE LINE AND DETAIL. DO NOT GET RUSHED THROUGH LIKE A HERD OF COWS LIKE WE DID OR YOU WILL BE SCREWED. I am filing a complaint in Tennessee and hopefully noone else will get took like we have been..

My wife and I have been owners for 3 years now. We love the resorts location and beautiful surrondings! We have 4 children and they also love it there.
Our kids always ask when we are going back.
The only problem with the resort that we have is the noise in the rooms. You are able to hear noise from other units. The walls are a little thin.
We will be back this June for our family vacation.

We are like the rest of you we got suckered in to buying one of these things. We were lied to about the construction of the unit. You can here noise through the walls. We were told that our unit would have a fireplace, yet when we arrived there was no fireplace, but good news for all other suckers you can go to the Tennesee real Estate Commision's website and file a complaint. The complaint form is on their website in pdf format. The form also lists things that can get the seller's real estate license revoked, and number one on the list is MISREPRESENTATION. That sounds like Westgate all the way. If everyone will file a complaint it can not be ignored. Hope this helps.
