“Nice hotel, expensive on a holiday weekend.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2013

Hotel was nice. Room was clean. The AC had not been turned on prior to us arriving (it was completely off) so it took a while for the room to cool down. We left it on while we went out, and it had cooled off alot by the time we got back, but it was VERY stuff and hot when we arrived. We had a King suite with a balcony. The balcony was not private, everyone on that floor shared one long balcony. We went during a holiday weekend so it was pricey for one night, and especially to be not directly on the 'Gatlinburg strip'. If you want to be away from the direct hustle and bustle, but not too far from the strip, this is a great location. Parking wasn't that great. The upper deck only had one entrance/exit, so when it was full, it was hard to turn around and we would have to back out. Staff was friendly and helpful. We entered the pool area, but did not use the pool, lazy river, etc.

Room Tip: Balcony was a shared balcony so people can be right outside your room if you choose a balcony room...

We certainly apologize for any inconveniences you experienced while staying at our hotel. Thank you for taking time to tell us about your stay. On holiday weekends the area gets busy and traffic is heavy.
We are glad you found our staff to be friendly and helpful.

I had reservations with another hotel for 3 months. We were taking my 86 year old Grandmother on her first trip to Gatlinburg for her birthday. When we got to our destination we found the room with the neighboring hotel dirty and un kept. We almost turned around and went home. My husband called Sleep Inn next door to see if they had any rooms left as this was an event weekend for the area. Heather and David got to work and found a room for us.. We quickly left the run down hotel and moved for the weekend next door. When we were checking in Heather realized we needed one more bed than she had quoted us she and David went back to work. They together pulled some things together and had us in a room that was perfect for our family and well within our budget within a matter of minutes. She even kept the rate for us at the original quote but gave us a much larger room. We were very happy. The room was clean, well kept and perfect. There were a few cosmetic issues but I have seen worse in four star hotels. Overall, I would like to say Thanks to Sleep Inn and Heather and David for saving our vacation and Grandmothers birthday wish. We will see you again next time. :)

We spent 3 nights at the Sleep Inn & Suites in Gatlinburg the beginning of September. Hotel is off main strip, but within walking distance of attractions. The room was clean & ok. Had a few cosmetic issues (i.e. crack in bathroom sink), but nothing major. Beds are comfortable. The location of our room was terrible. We had a poolside room so the room smelled damp & musty. Also, the lobby was directly above the room & you could hear chairs being moved during breakfast hours. We actually were awoken one night at 1am to the sound of furniture being moved. I would NEVER want to stay in this room again.

We ate the continental breakfast the first morning we

When I made the reservation, I requested a crib. When we checked in, the clerk asked us to let her know if it wasn't in the room. It wasn't...called the front desk & they said it should take about an hour to get it there. We waited around until our son HAD to eat. Went out to dinner for about 3 hours. We get back & still no crib. At this point, our son was DONE for day! Went up & asked about crib, took them about another hour to get it done. Problem was resolved, but it shouldn't have been an issue anyway. This is definitely not the best hotel I've ever stayed in. I also don't think it was worth the $139 we paid per night.

First of all, I called to make sure they had as guest laundry, they did, but it had not been working "for awhile", so I had to go find a Laundromat---. Our AC above the window starting leaking, I told them, and they said they would fix it, well they did, they took both our garbages, and put them under the leaks, I asked for a garbage for the bathroom, he did not understand English----, also asked at the desk, still did not get one, from then on they ignored me when I came into the lobby, very bad experience. Very disappointed

Room Tip: I tried, now went to a different hotel chain.

We stayed here for our family three day vacation and vow to NEVER do it again! It was disgusting ~ although they did refund one day the whole trip should have been refunded for the gross bedding mess they had. King suite with two pull out couches and one of them ( Pull outs mattress) was a disgrace and should have been thrown out!! I even took pictures . after contacting the help at front desk she said she was taking care of it getting back to our room very late nothing had been done so we had to call again and they didnt have any mattress to change it out although the next day the gentleman said that they did and it was a problem with the maintenace man having an emergency so they had no one able to change it out sorry but how heavy can a pull out couch mattress be?? Not buying it and definitely not staying here ever again!!

Got here at 1:30am and stayed 2 nights. The indoor pool looks nicer in the pictures I've seen online - its fine for swimming though and the hot tub is good too. The beds were very comfortable and we had to stay in a suite with a Jacuzzi tub because that's all they had available. The free morning breakfast consisted of waffles, toast, tiny muffins, cereal, juice, milk, hard boiled eggs (not good) but I think they are not so great at any free hotel breakfast .... and the dining area is very small for the size of the hotel. We would have had to take the food up to our room to eat if we would have wanted a waffle or cereal so we just went out to eat. I would rate this hotel between average and very good ..... staff was nice.

We arrived early on Saturday afternoon in Gatlinburg. We were going to check out some of the quiet trails before we checked into the motel that night. My wife developed a severe migraine headache. We asked the front desk clerk if we could check in early, we had a reservation. He told us the rooms were still being cleaned and check in time was 3:00 pm. I told him she had a migraine and laying down and taking a nap would really help her.He said let me see what we can do. It took a good 5 minutes of him flying over that key board, but he found a room for us. My wife was able to lay down in a darkened room. Two hours later that migraine was history. That clerk saved our weekend. As we exited the hotel that evening for the world of tee shirts and fudge, The clerk asked how she was doing, "Great, thanks to you" was her reply. The rooms are neat and clean, the waffles are good, but the empathy and service exhibited by the staff is what makes the Sleep Inn in Gatlingburg special.
