This place is great for the adults. You get to try all the flavors of moonshine, and a few mixtures. Of course, it's all about getting you to buy, but still have some left from last years trip.

“Fun to walk through and see how moonshine is made”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2013

Enjoyed getting to walk through and see how moonshine is made. I'm not a drinker, but had to try one of the cherries soaked in moonshine. My husband even bought a quart to take home.

Free shine tasting and music....what else can you ask for. Many of the bartenders are hilarious as well. It was a very neat experience and the shine was fantastic.

“Fun!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2013

The kiddos loved the live music and fun atmosphere while the hubby sampled some moonshine. It is a good time. Hubby loved the moonshine and seeing how it was made. In fact, we stopped twice!

“Fun Experience! Enjoyed the Moonshine.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2013

My husband and I did the free tasting of moonshine at the Ole Smokey Tennessee Moonshine Distillery. We had an absolute blast!

The atmosphere is so fun. Live bluegrass (or Old Time) music playing, beautiful hydrangea bushes and wooden rocking chairs set the scene. You walk in the back room and there are several places to walk up the bar, show ID and taste several varieties of moonshine. The "bartenders" are well trained. They are fun and funny. They start off with White Lightening and then go from there.

It was very busy every time we walked past. However, the tasting goes pretty quickly. So you don't have to wait long.

We ended up bringing two jars home. White Lightning and Lemon Drop.

We look forward to visiting this place again in the future.
