“A really nice place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 5, 2011

My wife and I were looking for a nice cabin to stay in during our visit to Gatlinburg. There are many to choose from, but if you are looking for privacy in a secluded setting, then this is the right place for you. The owners are extremely responsive to any questions you may have and the cabin was superb. There are perks upon arrival, such as the wine bottle chilled in an ice bucket, chocolate candies, and a variety of other snacks furnished during your stay. If you like hiking, then you can get a good workout on the property your cabin is located on........no need to jump in the car and find a hiking trail. We would recommend staying at any of the StoneCreek cabins. We stayed in the Creekside cabin.

We booked this for our wedding/honeymoon and had a TERRIFIC experience! We were sad to leave and seriously want to go back someday. We would not hesitate to recommend to anyone we knew. We enjoyed the hot tub on the back deck and the background music playing for us all the time. OH and the fireplace "video" that played in our bedroom the whole time. Lisa and Sue went over the top to make sure we were happy. Gorgeous area and absolutely wonderful cabin. Book it TODAY!

What did we expect when we decided to book a cabin in Gatlinburg for the weekend? A place that was cozy? Warm? Inviting? Clean? Easy to get to and convenient to the shops and restaurants? Modern enough to have flat screen televisions, appliances, and a hot tub? Rustic enough to experience the mountains and trees?

We got all of these things... and more, when we stayed at the Bear's Trail cabin. It's absolutely PERFECT for a couple, and could even work well if you have a child or two. The cabin sits on a hillside, just 5 minutes from "the strip," but on a quiet street in a wooded neighborhood, so that you feel like you're in seclusion. It has a large front porch... an inviting space with rocking chairs, and a wonderful place to catch some fresh air and enjoy a hot cup of coffee or tea.

Once you're inside, you'll immediately notice two things... the AMAZING detailing of the remodeling that Sue and Lise have done, and the thoughtfulness that went into preparing the place for you (wine chilling on the coffee table, accompanied by Godiva chocolates... soft music playing... snacks laid out on the kitchen counter... a digital fire crackling on the flat screen TV that's mounted at the foot of the bed... oh... and there's a gas log fireplace, too)!

There are 3 flat screen TV's, and wonderful lighting fixtures that are all on dimmer switches... allowing for adjustable ambience. The dining table is a nicely done restaurant booth. The bedroom is a cozy "house" that has a roof of wooden shingles, skylights, and 2 windows... you just have to SEE it to believe it! Next time we go, we're staying at the Creekside cabin, but when we stay at Bear's Trail again, we'll take some photos to post.

Bear's Trail is definitely the most intricate design of a small cabin that we've ever seen. The planning, use of space, and attention to detail are flawless. Throught your stay, you will constantly notice new details and you'll find cabinets built into the chiseled wood walls. It's the perfect balance of rustic and modern. The bottom line is that you won't want to leave.

Because of the glass in the tops of the A-frame, natural light is allowed in... which makes the place cheerful and ideal for reading a book while the fireplace warms you. The hot tub is located on the back porch, and adds one more relaxing way to spend your time.

Normally, when we stay in a hotel or cabin, we can think of things that we'd design differently, or things that could be improved upon. Bear's Trail is, in our opinions... perfect, just the way that it is.

And one final note... Lise and Sue are wonderful to work with. There's really no need to look any further. We're looking forward to our next stay, and recommend them highly.

We have stayed at the Treehouse cabin two times and the Creekside once. We LOVE staying with Stonecreek Cabins! I can't wait until I can schedule our next stay that will hopefully be at Bear's Trail. When we arrived this past weekend, we had a wonderful cake waiting on us with happy anniversary and our names on it. Where could you possibly get anything even close to the attention and special thoughts than you get from Lise and Sue. Had wonderful music playing, lights on dim, chocolates on the bed, wine chilling in the bucket. All the outside world just melts away upon arriving. Me and my husband commented many times that it was like you are in another dimension. We have never experienced staying at such a wonderful place, and we will keep going back as many times as possible. Thanks so much, Lise and Sue!!

We stayed at Creakside last weekend and we will definitely be back. We didn't want to leave. My husband and I were looking for a cozy little cabin to spend a romantic weekend away from it all and we sure found it. When we arrived at the cabin everything was just perfect. The fireplace was on, there was wine chilling in a bucket on the table along with a nice welcome note. The cabin felt so cozy, the lights were dimmed and in the kitchen was all the fixings for smores. Upstairs on the bed was Godiva chocolates and the bed, OMG, you just sank into the bed it was so comfortable. I can't say enough nice things about our stay. We will definitely be back to try out the other two cabins. Lisa was so nice and accommodating. Thanks again ladies for a great weekend.

This is the second year in a row that my girlfriend and I have stayed at the treehouse cabin! I don't think we could find a better place to stay! It's close to Gatlinburg, but still far enough out of town to give you lots of privacy and peace and quiet. Unless, we buy a cabin, we won't stay any where else while in the Gatlinburg area.!

My husband and I recently stayed at the Bear's Trail Cabin for our honeymoon. We could not have chosen a more romantic, relaxing, beautiful way to spend a week. The cabin was exquisite and the special touches made everything feel even more perfect. I would highly recommend Bear’s Trail Cabin to anyone looking for a special time away.
