My husband and I have visted the Pepper Palace in the Mountain Mall a few times over the years. We were last in the Pepper Palace over the July 4th holiday. I like to take a stroll around and look at all the various hot and bbq sauces. They have some interesting ones that you most likely will not find anywhere else. You will see some that have a character on the label that bear a resemblance to some celebrities. At one point they even had some that had politicians on them. Some of them are really funny. Then you have some of the interesting sauces like Dr. Pepper and 7-Up marinade. We did buy the Dr. Pepper sauce & it was OK. They also have the Jack Daniels, Jim Beam and Budweiser sauces. Some of the hot sauces are really funny to read too. I could spend an hour or so just reading all the funny labels. They also have a nice selection of salsas, jellies, jams, mustards, wing sauces, cheese sauces, relishes and more. You can sample several of the salsas and sauces on location before trying them. It is fun to watch people try the really hot sauces. You can even check out photographs of people who have tried the hottest sauce in the universe on the "wall of flame". I love that they have flashing red lights next to this sauce to bring attention to it. With a flashing red light, you know it must be HOT!!
Note: The Pepper Palace is similar to the All Sauced Up on the parkway, but I think they have a LARGER selection of sauces here. So, if you enjoyed checking out the samples & sauces on the parkway OR you didn't find what you were looking for there--you will most likely enjoy a visit to the Pepper Palace.
