“some gems, some duds”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2012

It's a nice thing to get out and see. We drove thru 3 different days just trying to catch some of the artists we wanted to see. Each business has its own hours, which are not published anywhere that we found. It would be better if there were set hours most places are open so visitors know a good time to visit the loop. We did find some great pottery and artwork to bring home.

“Wife loves it”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2012

Every year we vacation in Gatlinburg and one of the places we go is Arts and Craft loop.
We always come out of there with something. Alewine pottery, Wife bought a Dulcimer, I bought a candle holder for our patio at home, paintings by Hippensteal (you have to go visit his B&B) My daughter bought one of his painting and he signed it for her. This is the place to take your time, enjoy the hospitality of south, the mountains.

“Made in the USA!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2012

This 8 mile loop is a hidden gem! As an arts & craft person, I loved being able to take my time and check out all the wonderful, handmade things that Gatlinburg has to offer. Candles, baskets, wood carvings & sculptors, blown glass, pottery, and many candy shops & such ~ all amazing!!

“A quick drive through... will return”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2012

What a wonderful concept. An 8 mile drive through the country and virtually every house/building houses an arts or crafts business, restaurant, b&b. Had very little time to explore, but a welcome change from the hustle and bustle of touristy Gatlinburg.

“Awesome area, must see!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2012 via mobile

This is a great area to check out. Has lots of stores throughout the loop. The first spot there is a store called the Cherry Pit. Has amazing items made out of cherry pits. I bought a "collar" PAC and it works great. Heat it up in a microwave an it feels great! I have neck and back issues and so far it works well. Even bought a flax seed eye mask pillow for my migraines. Other stores include nature photographs and other crafty shops. Great for the afternoon of shopping for neat handcrafted items.
