“Home Away From Home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2013

We stayed two nights in townhouse 403 to break up our trip back home from Myrtle Beach. We decided in Baskins Creek simply from other reviews. It was money well spent. We found the unit to be spacious, accommodating and clean. The unit provided everything that we needed- dishes , washer/ dryer, Wi-Fi and a hot tub. It just blocks from the main parkway so could either it just the trolley. The staff was friendly over the phone and gave excellent directions to the property. We normally stay in a cabin when we visit the area so this was a different experience. I would definitely recommend Baskin Creek and look forward to staying there again.

I stayed in unit 308 for 4 days with a group of 6 family members. This unit was much bigger than expected and we all easily fit. The place was modern and updated. I really appreciated the washer and dryer in the unit. The entire place was clean and appeared to be well taken care of. Some of the light switches didn't work, but we really didn't need them. Our balcony overlooked the pool but the air conditioning units were kind of noisy when we went outside. The price was very reasonable for all of the included ammenities. There was a full size kitchen will all of the needed appliances to make an entire meal. It really was an easy 5 minute walk to the main strip. There was plenty of covered parking. Overall, everyone in my party enjoyed the stay and we would all recommend booking this place again.

Room Tip: The floors overlooking the pool are noisy when you go out on the balcony due to the A/C noises. (You...

Baskins Creek is a lovely complex. The condo we stayed in , unit 408, was very clean, nicely decorated and well stocked. The pool and hotub were very clean. Parking is covered. The pool area is very nice, not just a slab of concrete stuck out in the middle of a parking. Halls and elevator were kept clean. It is a short walk to the strip and close to both the red and green trolley stops. Some of the room untis over look the pool and some overlook the hotel next door so make sure you try to get one that has a pool over veiw. Wifi was sporadic, we would get kicked off for a few minutes but then we could usually get right back on.
Only 2 very small complaints. The kitchen didn't have pot holders or dish towels (so bring your own) and the front desk staff were not very knowledgeable about the area. They were very friendly and professional just not up on attractions in the area. Minor things that would not keep me from staying again! Hope to return again next year

Room Tip: Try to get a room with a pool view!

I just found my new favorite place. We rented 4 condos for a family reunion and all of us loved it here! 16 people total and we had so much room and we were able to be next to each other. Condos are a perfect location, walk to everything on the Parkway, no car traffic to deal with. Condos are all individually owned and decorated and all four of our condos were great! Only negative thing is the Wi-Fi is awful. Building needs to be re-done or something cause all of us in each condo had zero or small chance of connecting or staying connected to Wi-Fi. That is my only negative thing. Staff is beyond great and what manners they have and we were all treated wonderful.

Our family of 5 stayed here for 6 days surrounding the Memorial Day weekend. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The condo was not overly crowded with guests and we were within walking distance to the strip. There is a trolley stop in front of the lobby if you're considering using the trolley. I feel like we got a great deal considering the size of the unit. We stayed in unit 303. It has 2 bedrooms and two baths. The master bedroom was very spacious with a separate shower and jacuzzi. The washer/dryer is in that bathroom. The 2nd bedroom had two queen beds and a second bathroom. The condo was clean, with modern furniture (no flat screens). However, I did find two towels with hairs in them. I tossed those to the side and kept it moving. Now here goes my rant...My biggest issue was the wifi. The signal was terrible and as soon as you picked it up it would drop. I called the front desk several times about it, with no solution. I finally went downstairs and asked one of the staff about it and they told me that the router they have is over 7 years old and does not work well with apple devices. This was so frustrating!!! I brought my ipad along to look up restaurants and attractions for some last minute ideas in case we had a change of plans (which we did on some days). If you really want wifi, do not get unit 303, or anything higher than the 2nd floor for that matter. You will be sadly disappointed. Baskins Creek Condominiums, please get new routers! I know a lot of people could care less about wifi while vacationing, but this was one of the reasons I considered this condo in the first place. End of rant. Other than internet issues, everything was great. The condo itself was lovely. The rate was reasonable. I would stay here again and I would recommend it to others.

Our experience was good from beginning to end! We have stayed here several times and have never been disappointed. Our visit this time was in unit 311
and we really enjoyed it. The condo was beautifully furnished, the beds were very comfortable. It was very easy to relax and unwind.

Family, couples, girlfriends.. whatever the trip... a real affordable, clean, furnished, excellently located, condominium complex. Just a very short walk to the "strip", excellent views, perfectly equipped. Will stay here everytime!!

Room Tip: 3rd floor.. elevator available, so no worries with a long wait.
