“These cabins can't be beat!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2013

My wife and I recently rented the "Mountain Elegance" cabin from Elk Springs Resort for one week to celebrate our anniversary. It seemed a tad pricey, but it was WORTH EVERY CENT! We have been to the Gatlinburg area a few times, but this was our first rental from Elk Springs Resort. The cabin was beautiful! Only a few minutes away from Gatlinburg, but far enough away to really enjoy the peace and beauty of the Smoky Mountains. The cabin had everything we could have wanted. A fully stocked kitchen and a gas grill made it easy to relax and just dine "in" most of the time. The large flatscreen TVs in the living room and bedroom were a very nice feature. The king size bed was very comfortable and the walk-in shower was incredible! We ended up spending most of our time at the cabin. Every morning I would enjoy a cup of coffee while sitting on the deck, watching the mists roll through the mountains and just enjoying the view. Unfortunately, the time went by too quickly. We didn't want to go! A truly wonderful experience. We will be back.

First of all, my wife and I have stayed at Elk Springs resort multiple times now and absolutely love every cabin we have stayed in. We just stayed in the Spacious Skies cabin which is the largest cabin Elk Springs has to offer. It has BY FAR the best views in all of Gatlinburg. We had 14 people staying there and still had a ton of room. From the bedrooms to the kitchen and from top to bottom the cabin is stunning. It is great for family get togethers and has plenty of space for the whole family. We love Elk Springs Resort so much that we recommend it to anyone and everyone when staying in Gatlinburg, TN. We will never stay anywhere else. Elk Springs Resort CANNOT be beat. Thank you for another PERFECT stay!

Room Tip: Top floor rooms have stunning views of the mountains.

They have a warning sign at the entrance, that you may not want to leave. 100% correct, we truly regretted leaving after a 6-night stay. The Knotty & Nice cabin is absolutely amazing. Great setup for families with kids. We were very happy with the property- tons of amenities, plenty of space, great furniture & decorations. Also very clean. It really feels like a home away from home. Nice view through the huge windowed wall / off the main porch. Likely other cabins in the property a little higher up will have an even more amazing view.

There are lots of cabins in the property, but doesn't feel like it when in the cabin. The location is relatively good, just east of the Gatlinburg 'strip'. If you plan to drive regularly to Smoky Mtns Park, you have to deal with getting through the slow Gatlinburg area, or go via the bypass. For groceries & supplies, I suggest Food City. It's very close, just be sure to get their savings card to save $$$. FYI, they sell TN fishing licenses there. Otherwise, there's a Kroger and WalMart in Pigeon Forge (20-30min away).

My only recommendation for Elk Springs is to upgrade TV's to flat-screen HD, and upgrade the theater room to HD projector & Bluray. Ideally, add HDMI input to allow guests to connect game system, PC (streaming video like Netflix), etc.

We'll definitely be back! Highly Recommended!!!

We had an absolutely wonderful time staying in our "Mountain Magic" cabin last fall (2012). We've stayed in several different cabins by different companies and this one totally exceeded our expectations. So much that we plan on going back this fall and staying with Elk Springs again! The way the cabins were position made you feel like you were alone in the woods but having the community of cabins around made you feel safe. The cabin itself was SO NICE and made for a perfect fall get-away. We got to "rough it" in luxury.
We look forward to bringing more family with us this next trip!

Snuggled Inn was clean and matched the online pictures. It's in the Elk Springs Resort, yet still secluded. It overlooked a wooded ravine and no other cabins were very close-by. Another cabin (or other building) is under construction at the bottom of the ravine, so there may be less privacy once construction is completed. Some sections of the resort have 3 or 4 or more cabins in a row (separated by say 10-20 feet). We enjoyed the hot tub, pool table, foosball table, and the 18 foot shower. The kids liked the queen sized bunk beds. The resort location is very convenient to the arts and crafts area (<5 minutes), Gatlinburg (10-15) minutes, etc. We had a minor ice machine issue with the refrigerator, and maintenance responded quickly.

We would definitely recommend the resort and the Snuggled Inn.

We just returned from a four day stay at Cajun Hideaway and cannot wait to go back. The booking process was flawless, with almost immediate email responses from the representatives any time I wrote. We received numerous follow up emails with driving directions etc. The day of arrival, the call came in that our cabin was ready and a door code and alarm code was supplied. We found our way easily with the precise directions (do not take the Parkway!). When we entered the cabin, we were astonished by how amazing the views were. The level you enter on has the living and kitchen area. The loft upstairs has a great pool table, a sofa and love seat and a tv with some VHS movies. The bedrooms, baths (just a shower in one bath) and a laundry room are on the lower level below the entry floor. Outside the laundry room you find the porch swing, hot tub and a wrought iron table and chairs. Outside the living area is a balcony with metal railings all the way around. On this balcony is the 2 burner gas BBQ grill, 2 wooden rockers and another wrought iron table and chairs. We brought groceries from Food City and grilled two of our three nights, enjoyed the hot tub and played pool. We also had breakfast twice in the cabin. A lot more was provided than I anticipated...little details like a new, sealed kitchen sponge and dish soap. There was a small issue with ants getting in the kitchen window into a box of candy we had on the counter. (It was from Ole Smokey Candy Kitchen, so we were disappointed we had to throw it out). It was the perfect relaxing family vacation. This was our first stay in a cabin in the Smokies and we will definitely be repeat guests at Elk Springs Resort.

We booked with Elk Springs Resort for our honeymoon! The cabin was beautiful, and it was big enough for two! We really enjoyed the hot tub, the rain shower, and pool table! They had everything we needed, and then some. We loved the location. It was far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but close enough to the attractions that we wanted to visit. We will be booking with them again!
